โ€œ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐‹๐จ๐ ๐จโ€โฃ โฃ RIP to this legend on and off the basketball court. It was a difficult choice whether or not to search for a copy with an auto or not... in the end the centering, registration, and honest corners of this card for a 2.5+ were perfect. This card really pops in hand and is perfect for my collection.โฃ .โฃ .โฃ .โฃ #basketballcards #rookie #logoman #lakers #nba NBA rookie card. Jerry west Los Angeles lakers. by @treesandcardboard

โ€œ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐‰โ€ โฃ โฃ When I got back into collecting this card continued to be on the back of my mind. I guess I consider myself a basketball card collector first, even though I enjoy all sorts of cards now. Part of that collecting has been building a vintage collection of basketball cards that I feel are iconic cards or important players to the game. โฃ The two main things I was considering was centering and I didnโ€™t want a copy with the fisheye you will often see below his left elbow. There are lots of beautiful and higher graded copies with the fisheye, but for my collection I didnโ€™t want it. It took me a while to find the right copy but man this is an โ€œexcellent 5โ€ for sure. โฃ .โฃ .โฃ .โฃ #vintagebasketball #rookiecard #nbalegend #toppsbasketball #basketballcards by @treesandcardboard

Childhood Grail Card Acquired in 2025!โฃ โฃ I started collecting basketball cards as a kid in the early 90s and at that time MJ was everything. I can still remember the first time I saw the documentary โ€œMichael Jordan: Come Fly With Meโ€ as a grade schooler at a summer basketball camp. โฃ โฃ So the 86โ€™ Fleer Michael Jordan Rookie was the card I knew I needed to have in my collection someday, but because of the price and pop counts it was always hard to prioritize over other cards competing for my attention that might have been more rare or scarce. โฃ โฃ The really cool part about this card is the story of how I acquired it. I was originally searching for an example with excellent centering and registration around a BGS 8 or PSA 7 and I only wanted to find this card once. Meaning, once I found my copy, that was my copy. โฃ โฃ I ended up being able to trade for this card on Veriswap with other cards I had only traded into previously. So technically I was able to trade up into this card over roughly 3 years worth of trades now and thatโ€™s cool to me that I had patiently built up equity in my collection. โฃ This example is the perfect version for my collection. The centering is damn near perfect and I like the natural edge and corner wear on the card. To me this looks like a card that could have been pulled from a pack of 86 fleer when it released and I like having the extra data point that someone else felt this was worthy of a top 15% eye appeal sticker. Take that for what it is worth, but I I believe it adds to the perceived value of this card. โฃ .โฃ .โฃ .โฃ #cardoftheday #rookie #grail #michaeljordancards #basketballcards Michael Jordan Fleer Rookie Card. taken in Seattle, Washington by @treesandcardboard

2014 Panini Prizm Mike Evans Believe the Hype Gold /10 (Pop 2 / 0 higher) โฃ โฃ The football gods have blessed us today with one more matchup of Mike Evans and Marshon Lattimore. The Bucs have boom or bust potential this playoffs and I like their chances against the Commanders. โฃ โฃ I donโ€™t own a lot of die cuts, but I liked this rookie card for my collection. โ€œPotentialโ€ and โ€œhypeโ€ mean nothing until you put the work in and produce results. 2021 Prizm Damian Lillard Factory Set Hyper Rainbow โฃโฃ- A Chase within a Chase! โฃโฃ This was a fun little project within a rainbow Iโ€™m trying to complete. Thanks to a conversation I had with another Lillard collector I learned there are 5 Factory Prizms Iโ€™d have to find eventually. โฃโฃ โฃโฃ The issue is you can only pull these Hyper Prizms from a bonus pack that is included with the 2021 Prizm Factory Set. Imagine the odds and effort it would take to complete this task by only ripping waxโ€ฆ So it was a waiting game for them to pop up organically and after a little over a year of hunting them all down I was able to collect the last one I needed right before the New Year. โฃโฃ โฃ Thank you @gti_cardsupply for the best mags in the game to protect my PC and @bloop_hits for the stickers and branding help ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝโฃ .โฃโฃ .โฃโฃ .โฃโฃ #cardoftheday #lillardcollective #prizmbasketball #damedolla #dametime #logolillard #ripcityontheyass #damianlillardcards #basketballcards #cardcollector #cardcollection #whodoyoucollect #tradingcards #sportscards taken in Seattle, Washington by @treesandcardboard

For what itโ€™s worth, here are some of my take aways:โฃ โฃ 1. The order you submit your cards matters. Start off with some strong ones so the grader knows this submittal consists of quality cards. โฃ โฃ2. Smaller orders of 20-40 cards max seem to do better.โฃ 3. Variety! Donโ€™t send all of the same type of card in for grading at once if you arenโ€™t breaking a lot and sending โ€œpack freshโ€ cards. 4.
