I’m proud to share that our campaign has received the endorsement of UAW Region 8. 💙✊🏾

For folks who may not know the history behind those three letters, UAW stands for the International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America. Founded in Detroit in 1935, the UAW grew out of workers organizing for safer conditions, fairer treatment and a voice on the job. The historic Flint Sit-Down Strike of 1936–37 helped establish the union as a major force in American labor. Over the decades, UAW members have bargained for wages, pensions, healthcare, paid time off and other workplace protections, while the union has also participated in broader civil-rights and social-justice movements.

And UAW isn’t just autoworkers anymore. Today, its members work across manufacturing, higher education, government, healthcare and other sectors. UAW reports more than 400,000 active members across North America.

Region 8 is especially close to home. It includes Tennessee and much of the South, representing workers across manufacturing, government, agriculture and other workplaces. Its regional headquarters is right here in Tennessee.

So when I say this endorsement means something to me, I mean it.

I’m grateful to the working men and women who took the time to hear where I stand on wages, good jobs, worker protections and economic opportunity for Tennessee families.

Thank you, UAW Region 8, for placing your confidence in me and this campaign.

Solidarity forever. ✊🏾 by @tren10tn

I’m not running for State Representative just to talk about Tennessee’s problems. I’m running with a plan to introduce legislation that addresses them.

My campaign is built around five clear priorities:

💰 EASE the cost of living.
💼 Recognize the WORTH of work.
📚 Build BETTER public schools.
🏥 Keep healthcare close to HOME.
🏗️ BUILD safe, growing communities ready for the future.

Five pillars. Five signature bills. One mission: make Tennessee government work for everyday families again.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll break down each proposal, explain how it works, and show exactly what I intend to fight for in the General Assembly.

This is bigger than campaign promises. This is the legislative blueprint for District 42.

I had the pleasure to sit down with Kosta Yepifantsev on the Better Together podcast to talk about why I’m running, what accountability really looks like, and how moments meant to intimidate can instead end up clarifying your purpose.

The phrase “standing in the gap” has been used a lot lately. In this conversation, we talk about what it should mean: showing up for your community, listening before performing, and choosing leadership over spectacle.

Grateful for the space to speak honestly about Putnam County, the road here, and where we go next.
