One of the best things I’ve done is create @the_trenches_pod

Not because I’m trying to be an interviewer. I’m not.

I built it because I wanted to stay in the student seat.

Football was my world for most of my life. When you’ve been chasing the league since you were young, you can start to believe that’s the only game worth playing.

Then you step outside of football and realize how big the world really is.

There are people building real businesses, creating wealth, investing, and changing their families’ lives who never had to take on a double team, run a 40, or shoot a basketball.

I want to know how they did it.

That’s what “The Trenches” is about.

Sitting across from people who are winning in different industries. Asking questions. Building relationships. Learning how they think.

And exposing athletes and aspiring entrepreneurs to lanes they may have never known existed.

The jersey comes off eventually.

The game doesn’t end.

You just have to find your next arena.

I’m still learning. Still building. Still asking questions.

And we’re just getting started.

EP 2. Made my drop on time… then cracked the top of my truck on an overpass leaving Texas. 🤦🏾‍♂️Trucker life is a full-contact sport. Now it’s Texas → St. Louis surviving on gas station food and trying NOT to fall apart physically out here. Drivers — what’s YOUR worst rookie mistake? Drop it below. 👇🚛#trenchwork #boxtruck #boxtrucklife #truckerlife #otrtrucker by @trenchwork94

EPISODE 1: FROM THE FIELD TO THE STREETS. The truck was secured. The plan was in motion. Then everything got complicated

This was the day I stopped writing ideas down and finally put pen to paper.

The first truck was secured. The excitement was real. Everything felt like it was moving in the right direction.

Until the next morning.

I walked outside ready to get to work, turned the key, and nothing happened.

No warning. No backup plan. Just me, a truck that wouldn’t start, and my first real lesson in the journey ahead.

The crazy part?

The problem was something I never saw coming.

Stay tuned.

From the football field to entrepreneurship.

This is how TrenchWork Shipping & Handling was born. Built off long nights, risk, pressure, mistakes, lessons, and the same mindset that got me through football.

But this is bigger than trucking. This is the beginning of a new life. The wins, the losses, the pivots, the growth. all of it.

This is just the beginning.

Appreciate everybody rocking with me early. Let’s build something real.#trenchwork by @trenchwork94

Coming off surgery, not knowing if football was even still there for him — that’s where most people fold.

He didn’t.

He locked in. Focused on getting healthy, then went deeper — into the trenches, pushing himself to see how good he could actually become.

That mindset took him from uncertainty… to getting drafted.

Proof that when you fully commit, things can change fast.

Real estate shouldn’t just benefit the landlord… it should benefit the people living in it too.

That’s why I’m locked in with Roots.

They flipped the model.

Instead of tenants just paying rent and walking away with nothing…
they created a system that helps tenants build while they live.

✔️ Rent reporting that builds credit
✔️ Financial education that actually teaches ownership
✔️ Incentives that reward you for doing the right things
✔️ Access to investing so you’re not just paying… you’re participating

This is how you turn renters into owners over time.

This is how you create pride in where you live.
This is how you build real communities.

It’s bigger than housing… it’s a system for ownership.

If you understand where the world is going, you know this is the future. by @trenchwork94

Carl played with some great Iowa legends — and turned that into a 10-year NFL career. But what stood out wasn’t just the opportunity… it was how he used it.

He saw the NFL as a blessing — a chance to learn from the best of the best.

Football taught me everything about being in the right room...

The locker room. The huddle. The trenches.

Golf is no different.

Some of the best conversations, deals, and relationships I’ve built have happened walking a course or sitting in a clubhouse. No noise. No distractions. Just the right people in the right environment.

Next week, I’ll be at the Senior PGA Championship in Bradenton, Florida for a private VIP experience. And I’m bringing a few people with me.

This isn’t a giveaway… This is about getting around the right people.

We’re inviting 2-3 individuals to join us April 17–18 for:

- VIP access to the tournament
- Private networking with investors and operators
- Time inside the clubhouse and real conversations that matter

You cover your flight and hotel. We handle the rest and experience.

If you’re someone who understands the value of proximity, relationships, and being in rooms where things actually happen, this is for you.

Comment “Golf” on this post to let me know you are interested and we will connect!

We built this because access for athletes isn’t the problem…

The right opportunities and the right people are.

The Trenches is where athletes get real access.

Not just to deals, but to operators, investors, and people actually making moves.

Real deals. Real operators. Real rooms.

This isn’t for everyone. Application only… but if you are an athlete, founder, or accredited investor, tap in!

If you get in, you’re in the room.

At Ramp’s NFL Biz week, our new friend Carl Davis, pitched us his business idea. He’s a 10+ year vet. Would you invest?
