In February of last year I showed up to Muay Thai for the very first time. This past month I ended up stepping into the ring 3 separate times. If you told me a year and a half ago that I’d be doing all that I wouldn’t have believed you. Everything happened so fast and it definitely pushed me to a whole different level. But looking back at the whole month I honestly just see God’s hand in all of it. I wanted to share this to remind anyone who feels like they’re starting late or starting from nothing. Human timelines don’t matter when you put your trust in Christ. When you stop relying on your own strength and start relying on His things just change. You just have to be willing to show up, do the work, and let Him guide you. I’m just incredibly thankful for the journey. I owe everything to God for giving me the health, the mindset, and the discipline to get through those rounds. Big shoutout to my coaches and teammates who put the hours in with me and pushed me in the gym, and to my friends and family for always having my back. Also shoutout to my opponents for the battles and pushing me to my limits. Thank you to everyone who supported me or said a prayer for me along the way. “Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.”- Proverbs 16:3 “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
