It’s such a bittersweet feeling typing this out. On one hand, I’ve got kids who’ve worked their ass off chasing goals that go far beyond high school and building up a program so fast in so little time. On the other hand, it’s the closing of a journey that, selfishly, I never wanted to end.

As the final tournament comes to a close, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for having the opportunity to spend the last three years with the majority of these kids and watching them grow into the young men they are today.

I can still remember when @jordanwyton reached out to me asking if I’d ever thought about coaching, and I gave him a firm, quick “no.” 😂 He told me to think about it and said it was a great opportunity where he could really use my help. I had no idea that one conversation would lead me to rediscover my love and passion for basketball, while allowing me to pour it into something so much bigger than myself. It’s surreal knowing you’re exactly where you’re suppose to be doing what you were meant to do.

When people ask me if I have kids. I usually tell them yes. Except they’re my kids who aren’t my kids, but I treat em like my kids.

This is the first group I’ve ever had the privilege of coaching, and honestly, it’s been better than anything I could’ve imagined. I’ve watched them mature as players, but more importantly, as young men. I’m forever grateful to each and every one of them and to their parents for trusting and believing in Matt and I through every high and every low.

This chapter is over, and that’s the hardest part. But watching each of you become the men you are today makes it all worth it. The jerseys will come off, the tournaments will end, and the scoreboards will eventually be forgotten, but the relationships we built will last forever.

No matter where life takes y’all, I’ll always be in your corner.

1st full year head coaching officially a wrap. Beyond proud and thankful for this team. Lord knows we fought through some adversity and mishaps, but 12-4 and made it to the ship. This team was around .500 last year, but I told them straight up that’s not an option for me. They bought in, worked hard, and flourished. One of my favorite teams ever and a group I won’t forget.

thought i was done, but i did it again.
year 2 done, resume growing, opportunities getting bigger.
