Ten years ain’t ten days!

I was honoured to be in the room as @bykrishtun celebrated a full decade of creating wearable art that makes people feel comfortable and confident.

🇧🇧 Barbados understood the assignment for Caribbean week w/ @ctotourism

The swag bag? Top tier.

Rum punch. ✔️
White rum. ✔️
Pepper sauce. ✔️

Just to be clear 👀 Mount Gay is my personal favorite, but I wasn’t mad at what Barbados packed in the swag bag. 😏

And as we say in the Caribbean, a bird can’t fly on one wing—so two rums is only right. 😂

One thing about Barbados that Bajan vibes always leave an impression.

Another day. Another Caribbean pop quiz. 😄

If you’re from Barbados, are you a Bajan or a Barbadian?

The answer: both.

And if you’ve ever heard a Bajan accent, then you already know why I stopped to have this conversation. There’s just something about it—one sentence in and you know exactly where they’re from.

Along the way, we also got into a little Caribbean history. Did you know the word Caribbean traces its roots back to the Carib people, among the first inhabitants of the region?

This is what I love about Caribbean Week. One minute you’re talking tourism, the next minute you’re talking language, identity, history, and all the little things that make our region so unique.

And yes… the Bajan accent remains one of my favorites. 🇧🇧😏
