Because we’ve always been drawn to old, overlooked buildings and plots, we thought we’d start a small series to share what we’re often exploring behind the scenes.

It’s the part we enjoy most — finding places with real character and potential, and thinking about what they could become.

This one, right in the heart of Penzance, is deceptively simple from the outside…

…but step inside and it opens up completely — full of history, and a lot still to give.

The current owners are moving on, so it’s ready for its next chapter.

We can’t believe it’s been almost two weeks since our episode aired on @mrgeorgeclarke’s #remarkablerenovations.

Biggest project yet. The Farm.

Sentimental. Chaotic. Lovely. An overwhelming amount of jobs to do and stuff to sort.

The place where we can be kids again, wear our old crappy clothes unapologetically and use up every spare minute of every day doing jobs 🤣

But it is so much fun. We bloody love it here.

Proper Job.

A nose around the former Mounts Bay Trading building on Causeway Head, Penzance.

It feels like about ten different buildings rolled into one, and then right at the top is a roof terrace… 👀

There are so many possibilities here. It just needs the right vision, the money to back it and probably a fair bit of support along the way. Whether it’s mixed use, collaborative or something completely different, it’d be great to see this important building bright back to life.

Some old and new drone footage from 2020 vs now.

Looking at the old footage we can see why we had the occasional “holy moly, we have A LOT to do” moments at the start of the project (and quite a few during it). Sometimes those little jobs felt so insignificant compared to what was left that we had moments where we wondered if we’d ever finish. But two years of showing up for big jobs and small got it done. Something we still remind ourselves of on projects (especially when we are impatient).

This is Chy Van Dour — meaning ‘house above the water’ — tucked away on the Helford River.

Kate grew up here, and hearing her stories of exploring the river, watching the wildlife and generally having this rather magical place as her childhood playground made visiting it with her feel even more special.

The house itself has barely changed in decades and is now ready for someone to bring it back to life and start its next chapter.

Alright arr’ e. We have some news.

We’ve been working on something for a while now and it’s finally come to fruition. We have some land, buildings and a vision! 🌿

The vision is clear. The name… not quite yet 🤣

More soon. But, at its heart, it’s about people, place, and creating somewhere people genuinely enjoy spending time… and hopefully leave feeling a little better than when they arrived. taken in Cornwall by @trevolt_

We’ve had another baby 👶. Introducing little Valentine Ward 🤍. We’ve been humbled and reminded once again what an absolutely wild ride birth and postpartum is but couldn’t be more thankful that he has joined our family.

After a traumatic time with my first I wasn’t sure I’d ever be brave enough to have another, but here we are 🥰.

Thank you to the lovely team at @naturalmatbaby who have kindly supplied him with one of their Coco Mat mattresses ✨. It’s very comforting to know he’s sleeping on an organic, breathable, mattress with no nasty chemicals.
