On September 22nd, 1974, an anomolous noise (A tone or broadcast, according to witnesses) interrupted all communication between the town of Crewdson, Indiana and the outside world.Anyone venturing past town limits suddenly became aware of the ear-splitting noise, which caused nosebleeds and incapacitating migraines in anyone who heard it. This tone lasted for three days before being abruptly cut off.Those who heard it later claimed that "the signal got inside their heads" and "spoke words to them", provoking hallucinations of towering figures walking through Crewdson.To this day, this "tone" has never been explained. I’ve been really enjoying this new analog horror series called @theglendalearchives ! I’m not usually caught up on analog horror YouTube series, but this one has me hooked. Archived transmissions from a version of earth where every human has seemingly disappeared, aside from one person. And he’s not alone.Sometimes a cooking show, often wrestling with loneliness and the poison of nostalgia. It’s really great.(Also, more art is coming! Been busy with commission work but I have a bunch of ideas for things I want to work on soon.) by @trevorhenderson

If you loved Kane Parsons’ Backrooms (I did!), and you haven’t yet checked out the sadly cancelled horror tv show Channel Zero, now is the time. I’d recommend the seasons No-End House and Dream Door especially if you’re coming right off the Backrooms film, as conceptually they cross over in a lot of pleasing ways. by @trevorhenderson

Finished Peter Straub’s Floating Dragon recently and loved it so much, I had to get a nice hardbound copy for any future rereads (of which I anticipate there will be a few). So many wonderful and utterly grotesque horror set pieces in this one, I can’t stop thinking about it. by @trevorhenderson

Lately, I’ve been reading a lot of paperback creature features and doorstopper 80’s horror epics by people like Peter Straub, Stephen King, Dan Simmons, etc, and wanted to try my hand at a cover for a pulpy paperback horror novel that never existed. No idea what RIPPER would be about, but I know if I saw this cover on the shelf as a teenager, I would have grabbed it and read it as fast as I possibly could. by @trevorhenderson
