Last night, “Esta Es Tu Cuba” brought home the Bronze award in the Narrative category at @theacademy Student Academy Awards. It was a celebration to all the amazing hard work the entire cast and crew did. Directly, I’d like to thank again The Director @brian.robau and Producer @johnsayage for bringing me on to this life changing project. All those sleepless nights at that Air BnB, working away at the scrip, cast, logistics, etc was no small feat. The shooting went by in a flash for me, but I’ll cherish the memories we had around it, the 3 of us pushing away at this film, for a long time to come. It was an honor to work along side both of you and I really hope we have the opportunity to do it again —and soon! Congrats to everyone, and thank you for your support! Special thanks again to: @arri @digitalsputnik @quasarscience @pjgaffers @chapmanu @estaestucuba #oscars #academyawards #alexa #filmmaking #cinematography #directorofphotography taken in The Academy by @trevorroachdp

What a blast in NYC celebrating ‘Night, Mother’ winning a Webby at the @thewebbyawards ! This is the little hybrid feature that could- using @kodak_shootfilm 16mm 500T and 250D to provide disjointed memories, that were intercut throughout a “zoom call” between a mother and daughter during the pandemic. The “call” was performed and edited live over @twitch with thousands watching in real time. We used @sonyimages A7siii for the characters’ webcams, developing a picture profile that got us into the ballpark to match with the Kodak film flashbacks. Directed by John Patrick Lowrie Staring @sheilahoulahan and Ellen McLain Produced by @sheilahoulahan PR by @sarahelizabethparsons_ @sarahparsonsmedia Technical Director: @khathaddeus Special thanks to: @pro8mm @alangordonent #webby #webbyawards #cinematography #film #filmmaking #twitch #kodak #filmisnotdead #directorofphotography #movies @arri #sr2 taken in New York, New York by @trevorroachdp
