Words will never fully do justice to what my heart has experienced.

Leading up to ACCESS, the Lord spoke to me and said, “Every time I call you to pray, stop what you’re doing and pray.”

At first, I thought this instruction was simply concerning ACCESS. But as I continued to respond in obedience, the Lord began to awaken something deeper in me, a burden for prayer and a burning desire for the secret place unlike anything I had known before.

ACCESS has marked me in ways I cannot fully articulate. Through all that the Lord allowed us to witness and experience, He has also begun a deeper work in my heart. To witness tens of thousands of souls gathered to call upon the name of Jesus, while the Lord Himself was drawing me into deeper intimacy with Him, is something I will cherish for the rest of my life. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for all that He has done and all that He continues to do.

I am deeply grateful for leaders who continue to listen to the Holy Spirit, yield to His direction, and trust His leadership. @philipamitchell @lenacmitchell @lonnelldwilliams @danibspeaks @tati_berri

And I am just as grateful for every person captured in these images and the many whose faces you may never see. What a privilege to serve the Lord alongside one another, to share in the labor, the sacrifice, the prayers, and the joy of witnessing what He is doing in our generation. What a wonderful journey we are on, and what a gift that we get to walk it together.

May we remain captivated by the One who is soon to come.

And somehow, I’m still discovering you.

Since November 2020, I’ve had the privilege of watching you become, while also learning to love who you’ve always been.

I’ve known you as the woman I fell in love with. I’ve watched you become my wife. I’ve watched you become a mother, carrying and nurturing our children with a tenderness and strength that continues to leave me in awe.

But one of the most beautiful parts of loving you has been discovering you as God’s daughter.

There are parts of you that existed long before I knew your name. Things the Lord placed inside of you that I’m still getting the privilege of uncovering. Gifts I’m still recognizing. Beauty I’m still noticing. Depth I’m still learning. And ways He is shaping you that I get a front-row seat to witness.

Marriage has given me the gift of knowing you beyond the surface. Not just loving the woman you were when we met, but learning the woman you are today and making room for the woman God is continuing to form.

And after almost 6 years of knowing you, I still find myself looking at you and thinking, there is still so much of you left to discover.

What a privilege it is to be your husband.
What a gift it is to raise our children beside you.
And what an honor it is to spend my life discovering the woman God entrusted me to love.

Today we celebrate the life of our second son, Gabriel Levi Heflin! 🎉

Gabriel, we love you so dearly. Time has gone by so fast with you. It feels like you started doing everything early, talking, walking, and now trying to run everywhere lol. Watching you grow has been such a beautiful joy.

You have such a tender spirit, and we love that about you. You are so full of happiness and joy, and that smile of yours truly lights up our world. It is a gift from the Lord to be your parents, to watch you grow, and to discover more and more of who God has created you to be.

Today we celebrate you, son. We love you more than you know.

Happy 1st Birthday, Gabriel Levi! ❤️🎉

Fatherhood has been one of the greatest joys of my life.

Being present.
Being kind.
Being loving.
Being patient.
Being gentle.
Training them.
Loving them through discipline.
Listening to them.
Being aware.
Simply being their father.

I love every moment of it. Every season. Every opportunity to watch them grow and help shape the men they will become later.

And soon, my wife and I get to welcome our daughter.

Before we concern ourselves with creating a moment, getting others to respond, or capturing something worth sharing, our attention must first be fixed on Christ.

To behold Him is to look toward Him, and as we continue looking, we consider who He is, what He has done, and why He alone is worthy of our worship.

The moment the things surrounding worship become more important than the One we are worshiping, we have lost the center. by @treylheflin

My beautiful wife decided to transform our dining room into a play and learning space for our boys, which explains the joyful disarray of toys on the other side of the room.

I was in the kitchen handling a few things when everything suddenly became quiet. I peeked around the corner and found our boys completely in their own world, simply enjoying being brothers.

Gabe follows his big brother everywhere, and Kahari is becoming more aware each day that he is the big brother. Watching them be siblings brings incredible joy to my heart.

So grateful for these moments and for the beautiful gift of children. by @treylheflin

Today I stand in awe of God’s mercy toward me as I celebrate another year of life.

When I look back, I don’t see a story of my own faithfulness as much as I see His. I see His kindness, His grace, and His love lavished upon me again and again. None of it earned, none of it deserved, yet He has remained patient, faithful, and near through every season.

Looking back over my life, I can honestly say that God has been better to me than I could have ever imagined. Through every victory, failure, lesson, and season of growth, His hand has been evident.

I am humbled. I am grateful. And more than anything, I am thankful for the mercy of God.
