POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

8 years ago we did our first triathlon, the Iron Girl Pleasant Prairie Triathlon. We started on hybrid and mountain bikes in awe of the athletes who made it look so easy.

We've made some equipment upgrades over the years, but our love for triathlon and being an ambassador for the sport hasn't.

We all start somewhere. You never know who you might be inspiring.

29 days until our next half Ironman. Let's go!

🐦‍🔥 Race recap! 🐦‍🔥

What a scorcher at Ottawa lake State Park! Race 5/7 of the Wisconsin tri series ended in smiles and relaxing in the shade while cheering for team triumph and the Olympic distance racers!

This race is notorious for being flat, but hot. The run leaves you exposed to the hot summer sun for the most part, so perseverance is the key to success.

Jess walks away with the second fastest bike split and an impressive 6th place finish in her AG! Fierce! 🚴‍♀️🔥🔥🔥

Julie may have cooked it too much on the bike, but was able to get 2nd place Athena for the day! Her highlight was the multiple people that shouted out words of encouragement. You guys rock and the support is amazing! Thank you! ❤️🥈

How'd you get so fast on the bike? 🚴‍♀️🔥

Behind all the glitz and glamour of the race photos, it comes down to consistent training and pushing yourself through those hard efforts. Get out there and keep impressing yourself with how strong you've become.

P.s: it also helps to make super cool sound effects while on your bike-- whoosh, Ka-chow! 😂

Huge shout out to @tridottraining for pushing me further than I ever thought I could go.

Green Lake triathlon recap 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️🔥⚠️

What was supposed to be our Olympic distance race for the year turned into a sprint because of the wildfire smoke that came back overnight.

Jess has been really dialing in her nutrition this year and was feeling really ready to race because of great fueling (or maybe it was the double scoop of pre workout 👀)

Julie felt the effects of the poor air conditions, but still pulled off a sweet second place finish 🥈 She was proud of her quick transitions.

We caught up with some old and new friends! Which is truly one of the best things about the @witriseries

Coming up next, to finish off our back to back to back weekends of races, we're off to Ottawa lake State Park to race for a cure. Go Team Phoenix 🐦‍🔥

Pleasant Prairie Triathlon Done & Dusted

After racing the previous day at Triterium Triathlon, we were excited to see what we could put down at the @pleasantprairietri. Both of us had strong bike times and minimal fatigue on the run. Julie raced into 3rd place Athena and Jess finished 4th AG.

Verona always knows how to make you work for it! A 5 minute PR will always make me happy, but walking away with 3rd against that tough group of Athenas is awesome! @teamzootgreatlakes @witriseries
