There is so much wisdom in the way we breathe.

This is one of the things I continue to discover through Conscious Connected Breathwork.

The breath can become a doorway.

A doorway into the body.
Into sensation.
Into emotion.
Into the patterns we carry.
Into parts of ourselves that we may not always reach through the thinking mind alone.

And what I love about Conscious Connected Breathwork is that the technique itself can be one of the more physically gentle approaches to breathwork, while the experience can still take us somewhere incredibly deep.

But you don’t have to navigate that experience alone.

While you breathe, I’m there with you.

Listening to your breath.
Noticing your body.
Watching the small changes.
Offering guidance, movement, awareness or hands-on support when appropriate and always with consent.

And sometimes simply giving you the space to experience what is already unfolding.

I don’t know where your breath will take you that day — and I don’t need to.

My role is to meet you there.

To support you.
To stay curious with you.
To help you listen.

Because the more I work with the breath, the more amazed I am by how much can begin with something we have been doing since the moment we arrived here.

Breathing.

The technique is the doorway.
Awareness is the practice.

And you breathe for yourself —
but you don’t have to breathe alone.

This October, I’ll be holding space for you every Wednesday and Thursday at Sound Bird Center. 🤍

Wednesdays · 5:00–6:00 PM
Thursdays · 9:30–10:30 AM
📍 Sound Bird Center · Los Angeles

Everything is provided in the room — mat, pillow, blanket and eye mask. Just wear comfortable clothes.

No previous breathwork experience needed.

What could your breath show you if you gave yourself the space to really listen?

**The breath is one of the most ancient doorways we have into ourselves.**

It happens without us.

And yet, the moment we become conscious of it, we can begin to meet ourselves differently.

The breath brings us from thinking into sensing.

Into the body.
Into presence.
Into the places we may have stopped listening to.

And when we listen closely enough, the body begins to speak.

Through sensation.
Through tension.
Through movement.
Through emotion.
Through the breath itself.

This is why, for me, Conscious Connected Breathwork is not about performing the technique perfectly.

**The technique is simply the doorway.
Awareness is the practice.**

Just like you wouldn’t expect your body to do a split on your first yoga class, I don’t expect your breath to go somewhere it isn’t ready to go.

We begin where you are.

And breath by breath, session by session, we create more space to listen.

Eventually, something beautiful can happen:

**you stop trying so hard to breathe…
and begin listening to the intelligence of your own breath.**

Maybe that’s the real superpower.

Not controlling the breath.

**Becoming quiet enough to hear what it has to say.**

Come breathe with me. 🤍

f rest doesn’t actually restore you…

If vacations don’t reset you…

If silence feels uncomfortable…

If your mind never really turns off…

It might not be that you’re doing something wrong.

It might be that your nervous system hasn’t yet learned that it’s safe to truly settle.

When the body has spent enough time adapting to stress, vigilance can begin to feel familiar.

Overthinking feels familiar.

Tension feels familiar.

Always being “on” feels familiar.

Not because that’s who you are.

Because that’s what your nervous system has learned to expect.

And that takes an incredible amount of energy.

As a trauma-informed breathwork facilitator, one of the things I care about most isn’t creating powerful experiences.

It’s supporting the nervous system in integrating them.

In Conscious Connected Breathwork, we’re not trying to force the body to relax.

We’re creating the conditions where it can gently discover that it no longer has to stay on guard.

Because healing isn’t about convincing the nervous system.

It’s about giving it repeated experiences of safety.

One breath.

One pause.

One moment of presence at a time.

🤍

I’m curious…

When was the last time your body felt truly at ease—not because everything around you was perfect, but because you felt safe within yourself?

This week, we’re exploring forgiveness from a different perspective.

Not about whether we should forgive, but about creating space to feel, listen, and discover what’s possible.

Through Conscious Connected Breathwork, at your own pace. 🤍

October 14 & 15 · @sound_bird_center

Come as you are. We’ll breathe from there.

What does forgiveness feel like in your body?

Forgiveness is a deeply personal experience.

Maybe you’ve forgiven someone, but certain memories still bring up emotions.

Maybe you’re holding resentment, anger, or sadness.

Maybe you’re struggling to forgive yourself.

Maybe you’ve found peace with what happened.

Or maybe forgiveness isn’t something you’re ready for, and that’s okay too.

What if, instead of trying to forgive, we began by listening?

This week, through Conscious Connected Breathwork, we’ll explore our relationship with forgiveness through the body.

As we breathe, we’ll bring awareness to the sensations, emotions, and beliefs that arise.

We may notice tension, resistance, grief, tenderness, or even a sense of relief.

Rather than analyzing the story or trying to change how we feel, we’ll practice making space for our experience, with curiosity and compassion.

Sometimes something softens. Sometimes a new perspective emerges. Sometimes we simply discover what needs our attention.

Forgiveness doesn’t have to mean forgetting, excusing, or reconnecting. And it doesn’t have to happen today.

Perhaps the first step is allowing ourselves to feel what’s true.

And perhaps, from that place of awareness, something new becomes possible.

FORGIVENESS AT YOUR OWN PACE 🤍

Two sessions. Two different journeys. One unexpected synchronicity. ✨

This week, we explored HONOR YOURSELF, bringing our breath and awareness to the Third Energy Center — the place traditionally connected with personal power, courage, choice, and our inner fire.

We breathed together on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.

Different people. Different experiences. Different journeys.

And then something quite magical happened.

At the end of both sessions, two participants pulled the exact same oracle card: Guardians of the Land — Protection.

And when they read its message, they both said almost the same thing:

“This is exactly what I needed.”

I had one of those moments where all I could do was smile in wonder.

What touched me even more was what they shared after breathing: a renewed connection with their own strength, their personal power, their sense of purpose, and a clearer sense of direction.

One of the things I love most about Conscious Connected Breathwork is that we can enter the room with the same intention, yet each person meets something entirely their own.

We never know exactly what will unfold.

And sometimes, the most beautiful part is witnessing the connections that appear along the way.

Two different journeys. One shared reminder to honor ourselves.

Feeling grateful for everyone who came to breathe this week. 🤍

Everything you need for the session is provided. Just come in comfortable clothes and, if possible, without perfume or strong fragrances, so we can keep the space comfortable for everyone.

For women, I also recommend breathing without a bra if that feels comfortable for you — you can always remove it before we begin and put it back on afterward — simply to give your chest and breath a little more freedom.

September asked me to see something more clearly.

Different situations kept showing up in different areas of my life. At first, they seemed unrelated.

But when I stopped looking at the circumstances and looked at my response, I saw the same pattern repeating.

Every time something felt difficult, my instinct was:
How do I fix this?
How do I change this?
How do I make this feeling go away?

And underneath all that doing, I found something more vulnerable:

I didn’t want to feel the pain.

The sadness. The disappointment. The uncertainty when things didn’t go the way I wanted.

There was so much emotion around the shadow that I kept looking for a solution so I wouldn’t have to stay there.

That became my thorn this month. 🌹

Not the situations themselves, but realizing how hard it can be for me to accept the shadow when it arrives.

So September became a practice of staying. Sometimes just one more breath.

Can I be here without immediately fixing this?
Can I feel sad without needing the sadness to disappear?
Can I allow something to be difficult without making it wrong?

And somewhere in that practice, I started meeting myself differently.

That became my rose.

Staying gave me more perspective. More understanding of myself. More compassion for others. And a deeper capacity to be with all of me — not only the easy parts.

Sometimes the shadow isn’t asking to be solved.
Sometimes it’s asking to be included.

And when I stopped fighting what I didn’t want to feel, there was more space — for understanding, perspective, even solutions I couldn’t see before.

September didn’t teach me how to avoid the shadow.
It taught me that I can sit beside it without abandoning myself.

Before October, I’d love to know:

What did September teach you?
What challenged you?
What brought you joy?
What was your thorn — and what was your rose? 🌹

Today + tomorrow we’ll breathe with this in RELEASE & RENEW: Closing September · Welcoming October.

A space to honor September, integrate what we’ve lived, soften what we don’t want to carry forward, and set our intention for October.

Come breathe with me 🤍

For centuries, spiritual traditions and wisdom teachings have explored one of our deepest human experiences: the illusion of separation.

And I find it fascinating that we can explore this through something as simple and ancient as our own breath.

In Conscious Connected Breathwork, we intentionally remove the pause between breaths.

Active inhale. Passive exhale. No intentional pause.

The inhale flows into the exhale.
The exhale flows into the next inhale.

Again and again, until separate breaths become one continuous circle.

And when we stay inside that circle, something fascinating can happen.

The analytical mind may become less dominant. Something difficult to feel may become present. An emotion. A memory. A sensation. Something from the past that is still alive within us.

And when it appears, we have an opportunity to meet it differently.

Not immediately as good or bad, right or wrong, something to hold onto or get rid of.

But from connection.

We can stay with discomfort without becoming only the discomfort.
We can meet something from the past without being completely inside the past.
We can feel tension without making tension the whole story.

It sounds like a small shift. To me, it is enormous.

Because transformation doesn’t always come from changing what happened.

Sometimes it begins by changing the place within ourselves from which we meet what happened.

The experience may still be there.

But we are no longer meeting it from exactly the same place.

More space.
More perspective.
More possibility.
More choice.

Not because we forced ourselves past anything, but because we met it with more of ourselves available.

Less separation.
More connection.
More of our potential available to meet what is here.

That, to me, is where the connected breath becomes sacred. 🤍

I’m so excited to share that starting next week, we’re adding a new weekly Breathwork session at @sound_bird_center — Thursdays from 9:30–10:30 AM.

Every week, we’ll explore a different theme through Conscious Connected Breathwork, and that same journey will be offered:

✨ Wednesdays · 5–6 PM
☀️ Thursdays · 9:30–10:30 AM

And I love the possibilities this opens up.

If Wednesday evenings don’t work for you, you now have a Thursday morning option — maybe that rhythm simply fits your life better.

And there’s another possibility I’m really excited about…

If you breathe with us on Wednesday and leave feeling that there’s something more you want to explore — something still alive, something you’re curious about, a place you’d like to meet a little more deeply — you’re welcome to come back Thursday morning and breathe with the same theme again.

Because the theme may be the same, but the journey can be completely different.

You arrive differently.
Your body is different.
Your awareness may take you somewhere you didn’t expect.

Sometimes meeting the same inquiry again gives us an opportunity to listen from a different place.

And if you’re a new breather, you are always welcome too. 🤍

However you arrive, there’s nothing you need to prepare or achieve.

Come as you are. We’ll breathe from there.

📍 Sound Bird Center
Wednesdays · 5–6 PM
Thursdays · 9:30–10:30 AM

Same theme. Another opportunity to meet yourself there. 🤍
