first 90 days.

I saw a post that said “your younger self would think you’re the coolest person in the world”. I needed to hear that. sometimes, I hold myself to an impossible standard, beating myself up for not having all the answers to my life. but, it’s good to look back and see that “honey, you’re type fabulous.” anywho, we are locking in in Q2 and letting God and the ancestors handle the rest. by @tribecalledkess

here (mentally) 365.

my solo trip to Puerto Escondido was a great way to start the (lunar) new year. here are some of my recs:
1. @enneahotel: my stay was absolutely lovely. great service. and the food at the restaurant was divine.
2. Playa Carrizalillo: a small but beautiful beach
3. Playa Zicatela: the sunset here are stunning. great for watching some surfing too.
4. @casawabi: the architecture around the property and mission centered on an exchange of arts & culture speak to me deeply.
5. @pacifica.radio: great for a yummy breakfast/brunch and they have vinyl listening sessions here too. taken in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca by @tribecalledkess

japan 2024. 2023 archives, part II.

someone referred to this year as their “filler season year” and I deeply identified with that idea at the time. I felt like I didn’t have significant goals or major accomplishments this year. oftentimes, I just felt like I was floating, drifting through life. but, as I reflect, I realize - bish, you did a lot. I chopped off my hair in 2023; conquered my driving anxiety in 2023; lived out of my carry-on for half of the year and even learned how to ride a bike. now, was this a slower season for me? for sure. but the love was ever-present. by @tribecalledkess

Exploring Luis Barragan’s Casa Pedregal is a master class in the use of light, color, perspective and the natural environment. If you know me, you know architecture and design was one of my first loves - so having a private tour of this space was truly an experience. taken in Casa Pedregal by @tribecalledkess
