Today, I had the incredible honor of pinning someone who means so much to me. What started as a relationship with my hairdresser grew into a friendship, and eventually she became a client of The Martinus Way Foundation's Climb the Ladder Program.

Watching Kenya's journey from CNA to LPN and now RN loading has been nothing short of inspiring. She is the definition of an overcomer. Despite facing challenge after challenge, setbacks, attacks, and obstacles that could have easily caused her to quit, she continued to push forward with grace, resilience, determination, and a smile.

What amazes me most is that throughout her own journey, Kenya never stopped loving on others. She continued showing up for family, friends, and even people who didn't always deserve her kindness. Her heart never changed, even when life was difficult.

I am grateful that I was able to be a source of motivation, encouragement, and support in her life, but the truth is she has also inspired me. Seeing her perseverance reminded me that with faith, hard work, and God's grace, anything is possible.

Pinning her today was more than a ceremony—it was a full-circle moment and a true honor. Kenya, I am so proud of you. Your story is a testament that no matter the odds, God can bring you through. The LPN behind your name represents sacrifice, resilience, faith, and victory.

Happy NURSES WEEK to all the Amazing Nurses out there I literally have been in nursing for 25 years and I can honestly say its had its highs and it's lows and I have met some amazing individuals and some different kinda caring...(IDC) lol.But I wouldn't change this career for the World... So I want to wish a very "Special " person a happy 51st birthday To many he is Dr. Dex Shorter but to me he is my lil irritating brother, my pest, my pain in the side one of my biggest fans and my study lol ...
