The Emajendat @emajendat show curated by Sister Dreamer creator Lauren Halsey @laurenhalsey2068 was a psychedelic good time last night. Got to hangout with my sister @rochiggidy and ran into the homie @teronbeal The Hollywood Bowl @hollywoodbowl was grooving! The fireworks were insane! Hosted by @yvonneorji , witnessed the RHCP bassist Flea @flea333 get into his jazz/trumpet+bass bag, DJ Pee Wee aka Anderson .Paak @anderson._paak with the generationally appropriate DJ set and @cordae, with appearances by Earl Sweatshirt @earlsweatshirts and Thundercat @thundercatmusic - DJ Brian Henry @itsbrianhenry keeping the vibes flowing- and of course Erykah Badu @erykahbadu and Alchemist @alanthechemist making sublime MAGIC- This must be what LSD feels like 🩷💚💙💜🧡💛 by @tricycakes

So I did a thing last night. My cousin Nysa Shenay hit me up and asked me to perform an original work for her birthday bash at The District by GS. Of course I said yes, but I hadn’t written anything in over 25 years! - here is the finished product entitled “I Am Not a Poet”- written and performed by Patrice Lakey, accompanied by Nysa Shenay and the multi-Grammy award winning Corney Mims and The kNOW-IT-ALLz #IStandWithTheDistrict 🎥 by Rochelle Lakey by @tricycakes

We are so proud to announce that our baby, Dallas Lakey Jeffers will be crossing the stage tomorrow with honors! He has carried himself with distinction and grace. Through all the circumstances, moving schools, injury- he kept his head high, trusted his pivot and continued to excel and meet and exceed all expectation. He was accepted into 15 Universities and offered hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships. Please help me to honor YOUR SCHOLAR and soon to be high school graduate.
