~ Made in the mountains ~

Ben at @triedandtroutsupply is an exceptionally gifted craftsman and after using his products personally, there’s no question about it.

The attention to detail, thought, and quality put into his work is apparent as soon as you open the box.

I am a big fan of rustic and rugged designs as well as natural materials and holding the wooden net as I landed the first fish in it was awesome.

Check out @triedandtroutsupply for yourself and get a one of a kind net made by a true craftsman.

Shoutout to @bdotes for the teamwork on this and great time fishing 📸🎣

Sometimes you just need a bigger net.

The Fatte Platte Series gives you the extra reach and control you want when you’re working with a bigger fish or fishing bigger water.

A little more room. A little more reach. And a whole lot less wondering if you’re going to get the fish in the net.

Check out the Fatte Platte Series at triedandtrout.com.

Catching 100+ Halibut out of Homer AK in 1 day!

That was pretty amazing, but the views were top notch. Arms were tired, seas were calm, and surprised we didn’t get rained on.. This was a recon mission to potentially do an over night fishing trip next year. Let’s fill the freezer!

Some gifts get used once.

Some are meant to see plenty of time on the water.

“I bought the Gunnie Finn 9 as an anniversary gift for my boyfriend. Ben was excellent to work with, answering all my questions and personally made sure the net was delivered before our anniversary so I could have it engraved.”

The net arrived.
The engraving got done.
He loved it.

Sounds like a pretty good anniversary gift to us.

Thanks for the kind words and we hope that Gunnie Finn gets plenty of use where it belongs.

Filleting Alaskan CoHo in under 20 seconds.

Ok it took about 1min, but it’s still going to taste great! Had a great time on the Kenai with @alaska.fish.slayers late in the season and still got our fish.

Looking forward to getting back up there to slay some silvers! #fishing #nature #outdoors #adventure #fishinglife by @triedandtroutsupply

Less bulk. More river.

The Gunnie Finn keeps things light when you’re covering water, hiking between spots, or just trying to keep your setup simple.

Handcrafted with a wooden frame and made to stay easy in hand, it’s the kind of net that does its job without getting in your way.

Find the Gunnie Finn on our website.

Fishing on the Kenai River in AK early in the morning hits different. Chilly but worth it! If you haven’t ever been able to, I highly recommend it.

Blue sky’s, fall colors, bear claws on the side of the banks, and catching silvers late in the season.

See you out on the waters.

Fall has a way of changing the pace.

Cooler mornings, quieter water, and a little more reason to stay out longer than you planned.

There’s still plenty of fishing left in the season, and for a lot of anglers, this is when some of the best days begin.

Here’s to the first day of fall and more time on the water.
