I love planting. I love the land and soil. I love the Sun. I love my culture. I love my traditions. I love our Creator. I love my Mother. I love my whole family. I love my people. I love our prayers songs & ceremonies. I love our Diné ways. I love being Asdzáán. I love taking care of our century old corn field. Last but not least, I LOVE MY CHILDREN and I do this for them and their future. I wouldn’t trade it for anything else. I ask you in the kindest way to help me pray for rain and our Mother Earth. Representation. Education. Recognition. Connection.
I am grateful to have been able to work with @trina_jae_ on giving this voice a solid imagery in Downtown Flagstaff.
A remembrance of the sacred place this town was built in, the historic roots that this ground knows deeply, and the presence they continue to have 💚

A big thank you to @mountaintrailssedona @lydiagatzowart and @trina_jae_ for last night’s show. The highlight was clearly Trina explaining the background and stories connected to each painting of her, including this painting that sold. #westernart #sedona #oilpainting #arizona #southwest @ryanasmithart by @trina_jae_
