Today, I graduate from the Unsinkable, Indestructible Albany State University 💛💙. From a high school graduate during COVID, missing out on walking across the stage, to now, standing tall at my college graduation, I’ve come a long way. My journey wasn’t easy, I faced setbacks, self-doubt, depression, rejection, and countless long nights of hard work. But through it all, I stayed resilient and found strength I never knew I had. Today, I’m not just celebrating a degree; I’m celebrating growth, perseverance, and the best version of myself. College wasn’t what I expected, but it shaped me into a woman who is now confident, proud, and ready for the next chapter. Dreams of the HBCU experience became a reality when I transferred to Albany State University, and what a journey it’s been! In just two years, I gained not only academic success but also lifelong friendships, unforgettable moments, and a deep love for this incredible institution. I’m beyond grateful for the growth and support l’ve received at ASU. This chapter may be ending, but my love for my HBCU and the memories l’ve made will last a lifetime 💛💙.

Being part of NCNW has been an incredible journey of empowerment, service, and community. From the moment I joined the Albany State Section, I felt like family-welcomed with love and even given the nickname (KSU 🤣). As Community Service Co-Chair, I’m proud of my contributions to an organization founded by the visionary Mary McLeod Bethune, committed to leading, advocating, and uplifting women of African descent. Grateful for this legacy and excited to continue the work of making a difference. Thank you NCNW for a wonderful experience 🧡💜
