7 Algarve spots your feet will thank you for 👣

1️⃣ Praia da Marinha: my favorite view of the trip. The clifftop is free, any light was fabulous.

2️⃣ Caves by the Alfanzina lighthouse: park by the cliff houses and walk to the viewing platform. Go right for the lighthouse, left for the cave views.

3️⃣ Algar Seco: free to visit, with rock tunnels and sea caves right by Carvoeiro.

4️⃣ Praia do Carvalho: from the left cliff path, take the stairs down and walk through the tunnel to the cove. Check the tide.

5️⃣ Praia do Molhe: a quiet spot by the river mouth with a view over Praia da Rocha, yachts below and the skyline to the east.

6️⃣ Beach day: bring water and shade.

7️⃣ Castelejo: walk out onto the grassy cliffs, grab a drink at the clifftop bar and arrive 30 min before sunset 🌅

I took a 40-minute train from Lisbon and landed in an actual fairytale 🏰✨ "I am in wonderland" wasn't a joke, Sintra is unreal.
The colourful palace up top is Pena Palace: yellow, red and blue, built in the 1800s on top of a hilltop in the clouds. The park around it is huge and feels like a secret garden, so give yourself time to wander.
📍 Sintra, Portugal
🚆 Trains run from Lisbon (Rossio station) roughly every 20 minutes

🎟️ Book Pena Palace tickets online to skip the queue
⏰ Go early, the crowds get big by midday
⚠️ Check the park's closing time before you go (ask me how I know 😅)

This escape room had NO business being that scary. The puzzles were genuinely brilliant but there were jump scares I was NOT emotionally prepared for — full on screaming, grabbing whoever was closest, questioning why we paid for this 😅
Somehow escaped with 40 seconds left — still recovering.
