Absolutely loved speaking with @ugalawschool students about life after law school a couple weeks ago! I’m clearly biased, but I love the @seyfarthshawllp focus and investment on bringing in some of the state’s best and brightest legal minds. Having such a diverse professional background gives me tons to talk about as well!

Our time was limited unfortunately but looking forward to continuing some great conversations and connections! If you’re a law student interested in your options after law school, I’d love to chat about the great work and people at Seyfarth!

Lastly, looking forward to seeing my colleagues at our 10(!) Year Reunion this weekend! I am beyond proud and humbled to be a part of a graduating class doing incredible things at a really high level!

Athens has a special place in my heart, and I will always (unashamedly) find reasons to go back (and go out of my way to walk under the Arch) hahaha!

You are loved beyond measure! Loved celebrating your first birthday!!! A year full of love, laughs, stinky diapers, and so much more! I pray that you stay sweet and beautiful just the way you are and that you have many many many more birthdays to share your light with the world.

Huge thanks to @sincerelyshella and our village for always making these moments so special. My girls (both of them lol) are going crazy over the gifts, but the overwhelming love from the room to the well wishes from all over (all the way down to Trinidad and back!) is what really warms my heart. We have the best village a little girl can ask for!

I think as we age, the less urgent posting feels. Plus, you add that as soon as we stepped foot on US soil, the real world was like "did you miss me? 😏" Because we have been busy! But with that being said, we had a wonderful trip to Paris & London to celebrate 5 years of marriage. It was such a lovely way to reset and connect. Paris is like a dream. We made the most of it with Disneyland, the Eiffel, Versailles, and the Arc de Triomphe. We also had a romantic dinner cruise on our actual anniversary. Loved, loved, loved Paris. 😍🇫🇷

We traveled to London from Paris by train. We rode the London Eye, toured St. Paul Cathedral, witnessed the Changing of the Guards, walked the Tower Bridge, took pictures with Big Ben & the Buckingham Palace and even experienced London nightlife 💃🏻🕺🏾.

We truly had a blast celebrating this milestone anniversary. Such a fantastic trip. 10s across the board. So happy we get to explore the world together. ❤️🌏 Marriage requires effort, commitment, and hard conversations, so the work deserves to be celebrated!! What a year it has been. Happy to celebrate my 34th (still feels like 26ish lol) birthday! Proud to take some major strides personally and professionally but certainly want to continue the trend upward this year. Thank you for all the birthday wishes! And huge thanks to my incredible wife for always making this time special for me! The request was a lowkey birthday and she still managed to plan an incredible weekend in Athens (Athens, I love you 🥹)! Happy to announce that I have been elevated to Counsel at Fox!

In full transparency, I have had a roller coaster of emotions since receiving the news yesterday. Although I am grateful to advance, the transition to Counsel instead of Partner is bitter sweet. Nonetheless, I appreciate all the kind and encouraging words, as well as the congratulatory messages. I am grateful to have family, friends, and colleagues that have invested in me over the years and I look forward to leaning on them to continue to grow my practice and my development overall. I am looking forward to this chapter of my professional journey and the many chapters to come.

My wife’s birthday presented a new challenge this year. Her birthday falling on Thanksgiving was nice to easily bring family together but “holiday babies” (including Shella every couple of years) unfortunately take a back seat to the holiday their birthday happens to land on (I really empathize with the Christmas kids lol). Add in a request to bring London (love her and all but mommy and daddy still like to turn up from time to time lol) and I had a tall task ahead of me 😂. We settled on a staycation and dinner in Fayetteville Wednesday night, birthday decorations and swag (including a birthday 👑, sash, and cup! 🥰😂) on Thanksgiving, and a QUICK trip to Charleston with the little one (usually not a first class guy but wanted the extra room in case London wanted to turn up 😂)! Great food, an awesome massage, and 3 (😅😂) bags later and we traveled back dead tired but grateful for the memories (some crazy with Delta and London’s pack and play 🙄, but mostly good! Lol). I say all that to say, I gave it my all (and have bruises from carrying London’s big ass car seat to prove it lmao) and I’d do it all again because that’s what my wife deserves 🙌🏾 I know I don’t have as much free time as others, nor do I post on social media as much as I used to, nor is my memory what I’d like it to be. A lot of people depend on me (family, friends, clients) and I recognize how hard that can be from Shella’s perspective. But one thing I can do is give it all I got 💪🏾 Really hope this year felt special and not dominated by the national, unified big-backery 😂😂😭 I love you forever and always ❤️
