𝑳𝒂𝒔𝒕, 𝒏𝒐𝒘, 𝒏𝒆𝒙𝒕 📖

Last | Dead of Winter by Darcy Coates
⭐⭐⭐.75 (Definitely recommend reading. Suspenseful, spooky atmosphere, all the twists and turns!)

Now | Hell Bent by Leigh Bardugo
Only on chapter 2 🤭

Next | The Hacienda by Isabel Cañas
A gothic, atmospheric, horror novel. Say less.

Have you read any of these? 🤍

My 𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒚 autumn tbr 🦇📖🎃

I've already read 2 books from this list and they were the perfect books to get me into the spooky spirit. 👻 I definitely recommend reading Play Nice by Rachel Harrison, it was such a fun spooky read. Perfect read now that the weather is changing!

What are some spooky books I should add to my fall tbr? 🧡

Happy Threshing day cadets! 🐉🖤

“October first is always threshing. Monday, Wednesday or Sunday, it doesn’t matter where it falls on any given year. On the first of October, the first year cadets of the Riders Quadrant enter the bowl shaped forested valley to the southwest of the citadel and pray they come out alive. I will not die today” 🗡️

Let’s hope we all get dragons and we don’t have to repeat the year! 😅

Will I actually read any of these this fall? Maybe. Maybe not. That’s the fun in having a physical tbr to pick through, right? 🤭📖

Out out all of these, is there one I should ABSOLUTELY read first? 🤎

Influence or deinfluence my fall tbr 📖🍂

I’ve heard great things about all of these books, but are some just not worth it? I’m also wanting to read more high fantasy and horror this fall, so if you have any recommendations let me know! 🫶🏼

🎀 QOTD | What’s your most anticipated fall read?

Spice in a book < spice in a wine 🍷🧡

How are you witches doing this beautiful Sunday? 🥰

I have just started a new ARC and I’m only one chapter in but I’ve already had a “WTF” moment. (A good one!) Very excited to jump into this new world. (Especially since I didn’t love my last read 🥲)

🎀 QOTD | What are you currently reading and are you enjoying it?

⋆𐙚 ARC Review 𐙚⋆

📖 | The Debtor’s Game by Isabelle Mongeau
⭐️ | ⭐️⭐️.50
Pub Date | March 3, 2026

Review | This book had so much potential… The synopsis was promising and intriguing, which made me very excited to read this book. Unfortunately, it did not deliver. Now, when starting a new fantasy book you’re more than likely going to be a bit confused, at least I am, but I felt I was more than a bit confused during most of this book. I found myself rereading paragraphs every once in a while to make sure I wasn’t missing something. There were many times I would say to myself, “what’s going on” out loud. The story felt very rushed, I wish we got more explanations or more world building. The relationships/romance felt forced and not natural, some of the spicy scenes were not necessary and during most of them I found myself wanting to skip over them because they didn’t seem to be important to the story/plot. Let’s chat about some things I did like! The magic system; lacing, the plane, the geniuses, were very interesting to read about. The concept was something I’ve never read before, which in turn made me want to read more, instead of DNFing. The characters weren’t amazing but they all had their own unique personalities which I liked reading about. Overall, I was pretty disappointed, but reading is subjective, so give it a try! You might like it.

Thank you to NetGalley, Isabelle Mongeau and Ballantine Publishing for providing this ARC to me in exchange for an honest review.

🎀 QOTD | Which quadrant would your pet be sorted into at Basgiath—Rider, Healer, Scribe, or Infantry? (Gustopher would definitely be a Rider. 🐉 Even though he’s scared of most things bigger than him, which is a lot of things. 🥲)
