This week, our students had the incredible opportunity to visit Chevron, one of the world's leading integrated energy companies. Chevron welcomed us into their Houston office and hosted a hands-on trading simulation with some of their industry professionals, giving TRIP students real-world insight into energy markets and trading strategies.

This past weekend, TRIP students competed in the inaugural Texas Energy Trading Case Competition. Twenty-two universities, from here in Texas and as far as Virginia, participated. Of the twenty-two teams, Texas A&M placed second overall, and placed first in terms of overall P/L.

Over the past month, TRIP has had the privilege of hosting Tricon, Golden Pass LNG, and ARM Energy. A huge thank you to all three companies for sharing their insights on the energy industry!

- Tricon is a global leader in Benzene trading, connecting markets across other chemicals, polymers and fuels with a focus on sustainability. (Image 1)

Last night, we had the privilege of hosting Mr. Hurley from Hurley & Associates, who provided valuable insights on hedging strategies for their partnered producers.

Their firm specializes in developing individualized market plans tailored to each rancher and farmer, while also addressing their long-term goals and financial sustainability. Hurley & Associates’ approach focuses on risk management and strengthening the financial stability of farms.
