Honored to be featured in @guardiannigeria, a legacy journalism institution telling stories across generations, borders, and histories.

This piece speaks to a world that has always existed, yet has rarely been accurately represented in mainstream media.

Global Black Ambition is shaped by people raised across Lagos, Accra, London, New York, Toronto, Paris, and more.
We come from wealthy enclaves, middle class suburbs, and working class neighborhoods, and rural areas. We’ve been your classmates, competitors, collaborators, friends, and sometimes, more.

We are multidimensional, messy, disciplined, joyful, ambitious, and carry a shared but complex history marked by both pride and pain. Our past, present, and future move fluently across the world. We’ve always been here.

It feels cosmic that this first major story is being told from Lagos, where so many of our origins begin.

At its core, Global Black Ambition is proof that chasing greatness is universal, borderless, and deeply personal. This is for anyone bold enough to pursue it.

We’re going to tell stories from our vantage point: honestly, fully, and beautifully human. And we’re going to have so much fun doing it. 🧞‍♂️🌍

Good afternoon, Instagram. It is my deepest honor and joy to share the official teaser for @osasvantage and publicly ask for your support. Osa’s Vantage is a dramedy TV series inspired by my journey to NYC and experiences at Columbia Business and Policy School.

This series explores the trials and triumphs of young adulthood, touching on identity, ambition, culture, and the relentless pursuit of your dreams. Simply put, this is a story about the pursuit of the American dream, told through the VANTAGE of a Nigerian American protagonist.

HOW TO SUPPORT:

Some spaces give you somewhere to go. Others give you room to find one another.

The Final Toast of Summer ’26 was built around that difference. Room for the energy. Room for conversation. Room to reconnect with someone familiar or leave knowing someone new.

Because intimacy isn’t always about making the room smaller. Sometimes it’s about being intentional enough to give people different ways to exist inside it.

The best gatherings don’t force connection. They create the conditions for it.

And sometimes what makes a moment worth remembering isn’t how many people were there, but what became possible between them.

At some point in my early twenties, I decided I didn’t just want to travel. I wanted to build a global life. Real friendships, real relationships, and real familiarity with places beyond what I call home.

It’s beautiful to look around and realize what once only existed in my imagination is now reality.

What’s spontaneous now was built over time: trip by trip, relationship by relationship, risk by risk, vibe by vibe.

Having entirely too much fun in British New York (& Dublin).

Much love to everyone who brought the vibes and helped make this trip what it was. Can’t wait to do it again.

A simple question turned into 11 years — and counting — of brotherhood.

When I first started my career at Goldman Sachs in Salt Lake City, I had a very serious problem. I could not find a barber to save my life (for the uninitiated, this is a level 10 Black man crisis lmao)!

Then one day, I saw a guy with a fresh cut and said “Hey man, this is kind of embarrassing, but do you know where I can find a good barber?”

He laughed, “Yeah man, I got you.”

Eleven years later, that’s still who @sydbkillinem is. Reliable. Consistent. Steady. The kind of guy who looks out for people.

Over time, I’ve gotten to know @jenmeach too. She’s brilliant, sharp, surprisingly funny, and always ready to stand on her hot takes (good luck Syd! 😂).

Watching your union was a beautiful reminder of what love can look like when two whole people come together and become even better together.

It was an honor and so much fun to be part of your special day. Congratulations to you both. 🧡

Just some IE kids living out their NYC dreams 🗽✨

I didn’t grow up a Knicks fan. I grew up obsessed with New York City. I grew up watching Kobe Bryant lead the Lakers into Madison Square Garden and impose his will on basketball’s biggest stage.

As a kid in Southern California, New York felt impossibly far away. One of those places that only existed on TV, where people lived these exhilarating lives in the big city.

Today, MSG is a 20-minute train ride.
What once felt impossible has flattened into everyday life.

It’s one of the many reasons New York is the illest. This place makes the impossible feel as normal as coffee on a Tuesday morning.

Six years in, and I’m just getting started.

They always say if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere. New York built that confidence in me and I’m certainly enjoying putting that to the test 🧞‍♂️🌍

Cheers to the New York Knicks, New York City, and everyone who still believes their dreams can become reality.

P.S. Contrary to popular belief (and my own delightful misdirections), I still live here 😂😂. I’m just a genie and got other places to be.

The best rooftop parties aren’t about the view. They’re about the people who make the city feel a little more human.

Owen and Jodan understood that.

What they created wasn’t just a rooftop day party. It was an opportunity for people to reconnect, meet someone new, share a laugh, and step away from the pace that New York so often demands.

From the moment guests arrived, the energy felt familiar. Conversations flowed naturally between friend groups. Introductions turned into connections. Laughter carried across the rooftop. The music set the tone, but the people created the atmosphere.

In a city where everyone is moving somewhere, gatherings like these offer something different: a reason to be present.

For a few hours above Brooklyn, old friends reunited, new memories were made, and summer officially announced its arrival.

The skyline gave us the backdrop.

The community gave us the experience.

And that’s what made this gathering memorable.

Because the first toast to summer isn’t really about the season.

It’s about the people you choose to share it with.

Mr. 909 to the world 🧞‍♂️🌍

Entrepreneurship, in my view, is self-expression through commerce.

It’s allowed me to integrate every chapter — not run from them — and build in a way that’s both authentic and ambitious.

Coming home is a grounding reminder some things evolve, some things stay the same. Respect both.

Still just Owen from the IE. Now Owen The Global Genie. Some things evolve. Some things stay the same.

P.S. Who knew sneaking into AMC theaters as a kid in Victoria Gardens was one big foreshadow of what’s to come in life 😂✨🎬

Another birthday, another year shinin around the world w the sun 🧞‍♂️🌍🎉🌞

At 32 I am:

- comfortable in every room I walk into
- less concerned with impressing anyone as I am living in my truth, which is inherently impressive
- very quick to laugh, even quicker to make a joke
- not taking myself too seriously, life is serious enough
- embracing responsibility as a beautiful gift
- rooted in kindness and never mistaking it for weakness
- loving the art of mastery & finding beauty in the struggle
- bringing others along; a good time deserves good people
- proud of who 22 y/o O has become, excited for O at 42
- chasing greatness bcuz maximizing human potential is a worthy pursuit; outcomes are simply the byproduct
- standing in joy, wonder & the endless possibility of life
- still just Owen
