I’ve been fascinated with the sky lately. It’s one of the beauties of the world that surrounds us every day, and somehow it never looks exactly the same twice.

A few months ago, I was walking home when I caught this beautiful sunset. I loved the way the light sat behind the tree, the clouds, the whole scene really. It felt like one of those little moments that asks you to stop for a second and just take it in.

A reminder to look up every once in a while. by @tripsandshutterclicks

Still on the delicacies of the Bisanti People 😋 by @tripsandshutterclicks

Capturing the yummy treats and delicacies of the Bisanti People! I had heard so much about the popular ‘Fura Da Nono’ but I had never seen it before (I’m ashamed to say this). For those who don’t know, “Fura da nono which translates to Millet and Milk. Nono is locally fermented milk with a consistency that is thick but isn’t quite as thick as yoghurt.

Fura da nono originates from the Fulani people of West Africa. It's simply a refreshing locally made drink prepared from a combination of fermented milk and ground millet grains.” - Pulse NG #Trips #FuraDaNono #Exploring #Delicasies #Food #NigerianFood #NigerState #Nigeria by @tripsandshutterclicks

We were very eager to learn about the processing of Shea butter and the Village Head of Swasun Village, Niger State was nice enough to walk us through the process! It was such great learning experience for my colleagues and I. #sheabutterprocessing #MakingShearButter #SheerButter #Nigeria #Exploring by @tripsandshutterclicks

During my work visit to Bisanti Village in Niger State, I noticed that a lot of the women returned from their farms carrying loads and loads of nuts! I would later learn that the nuts are picked from the African ‘Shea Tree’ and are used to make the very popular Shea Butter! #Learning #Bisanti #BisantiVillage #Trips #Shutterclicks #Nigeria by @tripsandshutterclicks

This photo remains one of the most beautiful photos I’ve ever seen! Not because it took it 🙈 but because it captures the beautiful faces and smiles of some future leaders in Swasun community, Niger State, Nigeria.

I had gestured for them to smile by putting my finger on my face and flashing them the brightest smile that I could give after a long day! As I prepared to take this photo, I called for them to please flash me a smile. I noticed that girls imitated by earlier gesture (see above) and I thought it was the CUTEST THING EVER! #Swasun #NigerState #Nigeria #Naija by @tripsandshutterclicks

On June 14th 2019, work took me to Minna, Niger State. It was one of those trips where I was so consumed with planning the trip and putting all in place to ensure that the project went well that i didn’t think too much about the fact that I was visiting a state that I had never been to. That’s probably why I forgot to take my camera along 😫 Anyways, my phone didn’t do too badly.

Once we arrived Minna after a three- hour trip from Abuja, I knew I was going to love it! I sat by the window so I had a great view of the city.

We headed straight to work in a community called ‘Bisanti’ and then I realized I was in for a great experience! #Bisanti #Minna #NigerState #Nigeria by @tripsandshutterclicks
