As a Hawaii travel expert and Oahu fanatic, here’s my go-to Circle Island Tour itinerary. Start on Kalanianaʻole Highway and hit these must-see stops in order:

Leonard’s Truck (Hawaii Kai) – Grab fresh malasadas

Lanikai Beach (Kailua) – Relax on the sand or hike the Pillbox Trail

Ho’omaluhia Botanical Garden – A peaceful, photo-worthy spot

Byodo-In Temple – A replica of a Japanese temple in a serene setting

Kualoa Ranch – Book ahead for ATV tours, horseback riding, or movie site visits

Waiahole Poi Factory – Try the chicken long rice and haupia ice cream

Kahuku Food Trucks – Great spot to refuel; Giovanni’s shrimp is a favorite

North Shore Beaches – Don’t miss Pipeline and Shark’s Cove

Waimea Bay – Swim, relax, or take the leap off the famous rock

Haleiwa Town – Shop local, enjoy an açaí bowl, or grab some Huli Huli chicken

And finally, if you want the most beautiful sunset ever, head to Turtle Bay, order a cocktail, and enjoy the view.
