Believe Me, you have definitely tripped the rabbit.

My name is Mathieu Donaldson. I am a rapper, singer, songwriter, who has been creating music for the past nine years. The most important value I carry in and about the music industry is emotional vulnerability. I believe real art moves people when it dares to show the truth — the pain, the joy, the confusion, and the breakthroughs. I refuse to hide behind a persona. If I’m putting it in a song, I lived it.

My journey started in a small basement studio with cracked walls and borrowed equipment. For the first few years I was chasing sounds that didn’t feel like me. I spent nights rewriting verses that sounded impressive but meant nothing. The major struggle I overcame was learning to stop performing and start confessing. I had to kill the version of myself that was afraid to sound weak. Once I did, my music finally began to breathe. That shift turned my bedroom recordings into songs that strangers told me saved their lives.

In honest belief I feel authenticity is so deeply important as a musical artist. I feel this way because I’ve watched too many careers built on fake images collapse the moment the mask slipped. I’d rather release something honest that connects with one thousand real people than something polished that fools a million. Authenticity keeps my art sustainable and my conscience clear.

Music without discipline will never get you where you want to go!! I have discipline because talent alone never saved anyone. I’ve seen dreams die from inconsistency. Discipline is the quiet love I show my future self every single day — whether I feel inspired or not.

A story that built me into who I am today, happened during my fourth year making music. I was promised a record label deal but the biggest catch they would make me pay 10K for a full rebrand
