Nice day of non train related gigs.

First off was a fun little solo slot at the very dangerous @spierwrightwhisky (checkout those walls of whiskey 🤤)

Next up was @shapeshifterbrewingco in Le Coyote mode danger slightly averted when we finished the Pina Colada keg 👌

Thanks to those that came out, see you next weekend 🤠 by @trisbeaumont

To those that indulge, Happy Goth Xmas 🤠 by @trisbeaumont

Well that’s my first Indian Pacific gig done. Over eight days I played on and off the train in some stunning locations. Starting in Adelaide we travelled across the Nullabour to Perth, halfway through stopping at Rawlinna Station where I played under the stars.

In east Perth we welcomed a bunch of new guests and I played on the platform with the end of my set being accompanied by a fantastic local violinist by the name of Jude.

On the way back to Adelaide we stopped in Cook for a bonfire where I again played under the stars. This was the highlight for me, playing to all the guests around the bonfire with the train in front of me, clear sky’s and thousands of kilometres of nothing behind me. Playing cowboy songs in this location was perfection.

We made a brief stop back in Adelaide then it was on to Broken Hill where I got the opportunity to disembark and stretch my legs. From there onto the Blue Mountains and Sydney. I played at the Eternity Lounge in the Sydney Central station, then back on again to come home.

My Martin guitar got a bit of wear and tear this trip, as did I… but it was fun and character building.

I feel blessed to have had the opportunity. I have nothing but respect for all the crew that make these experiences come to life for the guests. They are tireless, fantastic people and I’m appreciative of the care they took of me on the trip too.

Thanks @journeybeyondgroup and @musomagicaus let’s do it again sometime! by @trisbeaumont

Just a little update on my journey aboard the Indian Pacific at the half way point day wise now. Started in Adelaide playing to guests at the amazing Star of Greece, then on the train across the Nullarbor. Had an amazing night playing to the guests under the stars in Rawlinna station. Perth yesterday and now parked up at Kalgoorlie before heading to Cook to play again under the stars.

It’s been a lot of fun and I’m slowly getting used to sleeping on the train. Massive respect to the crew, when you see what goes on behind the scenes to make an amazing experience for the guests these folks are worth their weight in gold, they’ve also been mighty kind to me which has been appreciated.

Back in Adelaide tomorrow and I’ll have some time with @katya_beaumont before hopping back on the train and heading to Sydney. Y’all will get another photo dump on the other side I’m sure. by @trisbeaumont

Looks like I’m going to be a bit out of range the next week… I’m leaving tomorrow to go play on the Indian Pacific for a week!

I’ll post my adventures when I can, however I may be a little slow responding to messages over the next week… stay tuned. by @trisbeaumont
