MORE by Trisha Baga is on view now at PICA a monumental, immersive installation weaving the rise of consumer AI into the artist’s own journey into parenthood. 🖥️🌙

Amongst 3D video projections in various vignettes a series of hand-built ceramic pieces that are childlike in form and assembly are shown arranged like Apple Store display tables. One sculpture even mimics a keyboard and mouse. This is made even more apparent situated in front of a looping projection of Steve Jobs mid-keynote.

The title ”More” chosen because of it use as a child’s foundational and often first word. It is also is referencial as a through line; the endless want of both toddlers and tech.

We are proud to announce that Mimi Ọnụọha, Nickola Pottinger, Trisha Baga, and Sara Cwynar are the recipients of the 2026 Artists & Mothers Grant. Each artist will receive $25,000 to support one year of childcare expenses with the provider of their choice.

This year, we received an extraordinary number of applications from a remarkable and diverse pool of artists—a powerful reminder of both the urgent need for this support and the many artist-mothers balancing the demands of caregiving with sustaining a creative practice.

We are grateful to our jurors, Aimé Iglesias Lukin, Director and Chief Curator of Visual Arts at Americas Society, and Lanka Tattersall, Laurenz Foundation Curator at The Museum of Modern Art, for the thought and care they put into the review process.

This year also marks an important milestone for Artists & Mothers. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we have expanded from three grants to four, enabling us to provide direct support to even more artist-mothers. While we are proud of this growth, the need continues to far exceed the resources available, underscoring our commitment to sustaining and expanding this work in the years ahead.
