No one is single handedly changing the sport of rodeo. Not one individual is re-inventing the rodeo wheel. Every committee in every town takes this sport, puts their own lipstick on it, and does their dang best to sell it to their audience…and I think that’s incredible. No two rodeo’s are the same and yet, the tradition remains. From the tiny town of @stpaulrodeo to the hospitality heaven @santamariaelksrodeo, on the grass at @pendletonroundup_hc or flying a bald eagle in a packed stadium at the @cinchplayoffs- it’s all a work of art… a hard work of art. 👏🏻

Of all the buckles I’ve won, this one might be my most cherished. Seven years ago I had no idea that Social Media would provide any of the opportunities I’ve been given. My job is to project our beloved western sport across the globe and I take a lot of pride in that. Thank you @jessicawahlert for trusting myself and a great team of creatives to live cover the BIGGEST rodeo at the end of the regular season.

Thank you social media for being an outlet that has kept me in the western industry with a camera in my hand instead of a rope. Thank you for the every day challenges that keep me growing, learning, studying, and being creative. (Zero thanks to you, Meta Business Suite or Ad Accounts.)

I was super nervous going into the Governors Cup this year. We had worked so hard preparing, made plans, created vision boards, style guides, and schedules. I was going to be responsible for a whole team and a lot of moving parts. I had earned the trust to expand the social team for this event and it was my responsibly to make sure I didn’t let anyone down. The most important key to a successful event was being able to work off script, adapt and overcome, and let the stories tell themselves. We took a lot of shots and we hit quite a few 3- pointers.
