Don’t just offer quality be about it! It’s not the trowels or the materials fault that the finish looks like crap. It’s the men handling those trowels and working that material to the smoothest finish you can feel in each line of plaster. There’s no need to bash other products or ways of exposing the finish. All material brands work if not they wouldn’t be in business. Stonescapes Caribbean Blue with abalone shell. Does the product really matter when you have the right plaster company doing the work? The answer is no! The quality is given to the finish by the applicator. You can have the best materials on planet earth but what good does it make if you don’t have the right finishers. To be the best doesn’t mean you have to have the best product. Proper preparation over the existing surface is key to guarantee that your bonding agent will work! So make sure your plaster company is doing it right and that they are using a certified bonding agent. Many would just acid wash this surface and bond coat it, but going over that soft and brittle layer will not work! Chipping it all off is an option as well but sometimes it’s not necessarily needed if the prep work is done properly. taken in Beaumont, Texas by @tristans_pool_plaster
