Hey Dad,

Three years today (07/24/2023) 💔

It’s kind of crazy to think it’s already been three years since you went home to be with the Lord. It's interesting how life stands still with it feeling like it just happened. Time keeps moving, but my love for you hasn’t changed at all.
I miss your voice, your contagious laugh, your advice, and just knowing I could always come to you. You had this way of making me feel like everything was going to be okay, because you had my back and my best interest at heart. You were/are such a hero in my eyes. I knew I could always count on you when life got crazy, you always had an answer to every scenario. You brought so much structure and knowledge into my life.. and my goodness, I miss those random phone calls where you made sure things got done in time.. you would always start by saying "Hey Tristin, this is your dad" 😂 Always checking up on me ❤️ making sure my car insurance was taken care of, my tires were still in good condition, or making sure my oil was changed on time. The smallest to biggest ways that you have impacted my life and life choices, I MISS IT SO MUCH!!! You always were my guide and kept me on a straight path. I could always count on you.

There are so many moments I wish I could share with you now...the good ones, the tough ones, and all the little everyday things. I still catch myself wanting to call you about something that happened or if I have a random life question.

Even though you’re not here with me, I feel your love in my heart every day. The things you taught me, the way you lived, and all the memories we made still guide me. You helped shape who I am, and I’ll always be thankful for that.

Knowing you’re with the Lord brings me peace. I know that you are healed from pain, whole, and surrounded by perfect love. I still miss you so much, but my faith reminds me this isn’t goodbye forever. One day, by God’s grace, we’ll see each other again.

Until then, I’ll do my best to live in a way that will make you proud. I’ll carry on your legacy through kindness, faith, strength, and love. I’ll keep telling your stories, remembering your smile, and thanking God for the blessing of having you as my dad by @tristinalonzo
