Here he is in action—Toa Tarakava, Levan, punching his way into the MOC spotlight!
—
Relying on his sheer speed, towering reach, and precision, Levan seeks to land several blows before a fight has even started.
This Toa Rahi of Air wields the undisputed fastest hands on Mata Nui, even without being enhanced further by the Kanohi Kakama he wears for dealing with true threats—when activated, there are few beings in existence capable of reading his next move. Even fewer stand to survive the incoming barrage.

Corrupted Dark Toa Muaka hybrid…
Somewhere along the way, even the Makuta felt some sense of regret for creating such abominations against the natural order…
Some such experiments went far beyond the realm of research and science, breaching into horror and cruelty.

Here’s my take on Lesovikk, without changing much of his original design—I wanted to really drive a “Derelict Hunter” look and imagine how he might arm himself over time with trophies from his foes in the depths.

Dark Toa Rahai, Muaka + Lore Update
—
Before the Toa Hordika, before the Rahaga…
A series of mysterious transformations occurred across Mata Nui, creating a unique breed of Toa-Rahi hybrid.
While some retained a grasp of their purpose, they began to take up their Duty to shepherd their respective Rahi as a coordinated team, the Toa Rahai.
Though, some among those transformed displayed far too dangerous and feral behaviors to be considered a shepherd of the wildlife. These monstrous abominations taint and corrupt the land and Rahi they infect with a mysterious darkness they carry and spread through infected Kanohi.
The source of these infected Kanohi remains to be discovered, but several more of these Dark Rahai have been reported across the island—wreaking havoc for our newly formed Toa Rahai.
—
The Dark Toa Rahai Muaka spreads its infection to Kane-Ra after ambushing and taking down the near unstoppable bull… a feat thought impossible—even for a Toa.

Here’s a little recap of the Toa Rahi series of MOCs I’ve done so far:
Tarakava, Nui-Jaga, Nui-Rama, and Muaka

It’ll be one of the Manas next, and then I’ll have to decide on a final Rahi inspo for the 6th Toa… Any suggestions? I’m thinking maybe the Fikou Spider, Metru Mantis, or the mighty Tahtorak?

Starting a little painting project I had a sudden eureka moment for… this little Cube-like canvas is going to display several iconic scenes in each side, with a miniature diorama on top!

Bringing back hand-painted masks… One experiment at a time.
I’m trying to replicate the original “infected” paint job, how do you think I did?

Here’s one of my own hand-painted masks, the Infected Ruru from the Mata Nui Online Game!
I had to try and recreate this iconic alternate mask for the Tarakava… Although I made this for my own collection, I’ve been open to the idea of “commissioning” painted masks/parts for friends looking to add a special hand-painted touch to their MOCs or collection pieces.
My artistic background outside of this Bionicle project is in traditional painting/mixed media making of all sorts, so fusing these creative outlets together just feels natural to me.
I’ve been experimenting with a few other painted colors/texture work on some extra or damaged masks that weren’t doing me any good otherwise!
—
Part of my artistic ethos is reclaiming discarded or leftover things/materials that some may no longer see value in, and attempting to restore them to once again become “valuable” again as art instead of resigning it’s fate to just become devalued waste.
Make art, not waste!
