This weekend was a whirlwind 35 hour trip to Ottawa for connection and strategic planning with @arcpoetrymag

Despite the tight timeline, I was able to walk along the canal, visit @sconewitch, Confederation Park, and connect with dear friends and colleagues. We ended our day enjoying @zaksdiner.

I’m excited to stay close to home for the foreseeable future. There’s nothing like a SK summer. taken in Ottawa, Ontario by @troggled

Yesterday, I visited North West River and Sheshatshiu.

Highlights include tea with Eileen in her home, looking for special rocks on the beach of Lake Melville, NL cod for lunch at Riverside Restaurant, and visiting the Labrador Interpretation Centre (thank you, Reg and Larry for being such wonderful hosts and sharing lively stories of your beautiful community).

I’m on the way home today feeling grateful, tired, and eager to hug my kiddo. I hope to return to Labrador one day- it’s a gorgeous and unique land with kind and warm people.

Today, my kind hosts Tim and Sandra took me on a wonderful walk to the Birch Island Boardwalk. The weather was perfect and sunny and I feel so blessed to be visiting beautiful Labrador.
