We don’t come from this but that doesn’t mean it’s not for us. Step by step we’ll continue to build the tapestry of our past, present and future. We have to push each other to grow, help each other to create space. Envision, create, inspire and pass on. WE have to. It’s important. Those that have pathed the path. That have created new avenues. That are laying new foundations. That are doing it. That are ready to leap. Together 🧡✊🏽💫

Witnessing the vision and the work that’s gone into MAGID/ZAFAR’s journey has been inspiring. It’s a great honour to be apart of the story of this film. We’ve believed and we’ve invested ourselves into this. Congratulations to the whole team. Everyone’s work has made this journey continuous unfold.

It’s special to receive that feeling. Can be hard to maintain but ultimately when you trust in the path and whatever comes with it. To have moments like this to help you strengthen your mindset is a gift. Grateful 🙏🏽

A huge pleasure to put a Manny voice to the book! Words so dazzling and muscular, poetic and vulnerable, apna and universal!

The story takes place over the course of one chaotic, surreal night on Wilmslow Road—famously known as the “Curry Mile” (or “Wimmy Road”) in Rusholme, Manchester. It follows three young British-Pakistani friends in a white BMW as their fun night out spirals into danger.
