May your example be for us, an encouragement to always seek the light and serve life through our brothers and sisters. It is late at night, and someone across the way is playing “La Vie En Rose”. It is the French way of saying, “I am looking at the world through rose-coloured glasses,” and it says everything I feel. I have learned so many things, Father. Not just how to make vichyssoise or calf’s head with sauce vinaigrette, but a much more important recipe. I have learned how to live… how to be in the world and of the world… and not just to stand aside and watch. And I will never, never again run away from life… or from love, either. Top moment of a lifetime 🏰⚡️ I won a normie award this year @peoria_players_theatre For my set design & painting Young Frankenstein this past January. I wanna thank god for granting me gifts to share with the world, blessing me endlessly in this season of life. To Steve Hausler the Director for believing in me for years. Trusting that if we leap (sometimes him throwing me head first) into imagination we can create anything. To Howard Gorman & the techies without borders for making the impossible real. Giving me the base to build and laugh and learn the whole way To the cast & crew who brought every scene earthside with their talent as I giggled with true joy in amazement. To my family for the gift of life, the values of hardwork and appreciation of music. Especially my mama who always said I should be a set designer To Love for being there for me. Seeing in me things I have yet to realize. & the Peoria Players community for giving a little girl the place to dream and call Home It takes a village to bring even one person to the stage. I am so grateful to be part of that magic. If it plays in peoria it truly can play anywhere in the world. DONT DREAM IT BE IT !! Let my dream be born! Through this storm and strife. SpacePlace Studies - New Mexico SOLD OUT @mallow.art + it was gumball blind pull so the fates decided for the collectors what matched How do you grow from surviving by isolation to living through connection? Moments when inner portals merge with physical landscapes. I thought it’d be good for the plot, a lore-building activity. Staying in Agua Fría / Santa Fe at the international hostel & camping in a yurt with llamas as my neighbors. The time gave me patience to sit with the quiet, the longing, and the lessons I’m still learning about connection. Surreal in the way my soul asked for me to be. Unlocking a new way to create the visual language of these SpacePlaces; digital drawings layer over photography of sunset horizons, western symbols, and desert flora. The two dimensions, internal/external, begin to speak to one another.
