Thank you again to @sopercussion for inviting us to perform with this incredible band at @carnegiehall.
It truly was amazing experience to get to play @jasontreuting ‘s Amid the Noise with such an astounding group of musicians.
Please enjoy the wildest post-show elevator selfie that had many attempts and not a single non-blurry photo in the bunch! taken in Zankel Hall by @troikapercussion

⭐️Wow wow wow, the past few days have been amazing. Our first time playing together since the pandemic was a dream. We are so thankful for @mfdynamics for hosting us the past couple of days, @mariafinkperc for her brilliant guidance and generosity, and @chambermusicamerica for giving us an opportunity to work with the ensemble forward grant! More to come soon! ⭐️ Enjoy this snippet of one of our favs - Shuí by @composerjuri with a surprise neighborly collaboration. 😅

Had a blast hosting @troikapercussion this week! They are working on a new program of self-composed works and trio favorites, and are sounding great! @mariafinkperc coached them on both their performance and entrepreneurial endeavors thanks to the trio’s @chambermusicamerica #ensembleforward grant! 🥁🎉 by @troikapercussion

👋 Hey y’all! Dropping another improv sketch for your listening pleasure! Heads up, We got wild with distortion. 🤪

✨ A quick reminder - we have been embracing the reality of working from a bicoastal distance since the start of the pandemic. We’ve been diving into new tools, ideas, and environments trying to speak to one another through short improv sketches. ✨

Sending short snippets of sounds that grab our attention, we 1 by 1 later them together to create something new! Let us know what you hear and enjoy! 💃🏻 by @troikapercussion

⭐️ Announcements! ⭐️

Friends! We are really excited to share with you some big news and a big project we’ve been working towards.

1. We are so thrilled to have been chosen as a recipient of the Ensemble Forward Grant Program through Chamber Music America, made possible with generous support from the New York Community Trust. Throughout this year we will be able to learn from our coach (and all around GOAT), Maria Finkelmeier alongside other amazing opportunities!

2. We are thrilled to release our new website! We have taken this work slow and steady with the amazing help of at Seth McCay Creative. We could not be more thrilled with its outcome and hope you might enjoy it as well! Link in bio!

While we have truly felt the isolation and separation from each other the past year, we are thrilled for what is to come and hope you are too.
💕 Wishing you all the best and more! 💕 by @troikapercussion

🌊 Hi friends! Dropping another improv sketch for ya! Enjoy the ocean vibes!

As a reminder we have been embracing the reality of working from through a bicoastal distance during the pandemic, we have been diving into new tools, ideas, and environments trying to talk to each other in short improv sketches.

Sending short snippets of sounds that grab our attention, we 1 by 1 layer them together, to create something well... new.

Enjoy! 🌊 by @troikapercussion

Troika was inspired by @alarmwillsound and the #beginwiththeballot musical call to action. Please check out our arrangement of El Pueblo Unido Jamás Será Venicido written by Sergio Ortega.
Music is a vehicle for us to express the complicated feelings around tomorrow’s election and our role in democracy.

In recognition of all of our urban dwelling friends that are separated from family, loved ones, and GEAR during our quarantines we decided to find what we could in our apartments and make up a version of one of our favorite pieces - Chic, by @molly.joyce !
