I am thrilled to announce that next week I will present an interactive audio-visual installation The Ring at @aavistus festival in Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮

THE RING is an interactive audiovisual installation exploring the increasingly porous boundary between physical and virtual reality through a series of three embodied games.

Borrowing the logic of digital gaming while removing the screen, the installation transforms the body into an interface and physical space into a playable environment. Movement, gesture and spatial awareness become mechanisms of interaction, generating encounters between the participant, sound and light.

THE RING questions the growing abstraction of experience into screen-based environments. Rather than opposing the physical and the virtual, it collapses their distinction: digital logic is brought into material space and experienced through the body. Gameplay becomes a practice of presence. It demands movement, attention and awareness of the immediate moment.

Within THE RING, immersion is not an escape from physical reality, but a way of returning to it.

THE RING will be accessible to play for public at Helsinki City Museum from 1.10.-4.10.2026

One of the most inspiring moments of the SONOKINESIS tour in Asia was a short random collaboration with dancer @ninirni during rehearsals before the performance evening at @absence_space0810 in Tainan, Taiwan 🇹🇼

She instantly fused with the system as well as sound design creating beautiful choreography which expressed the endless feedback loop between body, machine and sound in the most amazing way.

It made me think again how I would like to expand this project by involving dancers, choreographers and kinaesthetic artists - to co-create, develop and express narrative.

Thank you for inspiration @ninirni 🙏

SONOKINESIS comes to Berlin New Media Week.

A live performance where the body becomes the instrument. Sensors and wearable electronics translate movement and dance into sound, blurring the boundaries between human and machine, choreography and composition, control and unpredictability.
