The time has come for us 2nd year residents to say farewell @queencityclay 🥹 Come celebrate and support our next journeys at our Resident Pop Up Show! All sales will go to supporting our next moves as we continue our clay careers. We’ve all been heels deep making new work to share with you all 🔥

July 13-18th we’ll have work for sale in the Project Space Gallery @queencityclay and a final reception with more work, food, friends, and family Saturday July 18th 4pm-7pm :)

It’s May Day! And we couldn’t be happier to announce and launch our May FAB Artist, Troll @troll.made.art - Be sure to stop by to check out their amazing ceramics works. They are actively selling wares throughout the month, with a portion of sales benefiting Trans Masc Cincy @transmasc.cincy 🏳️‍⚧️. Opening party next Saturday May 9th from 6-9p. Lots of amazing events too- from Puppy and Artist meet ups to Magic the Gathering nights. Check it all out on our events page. And their FAB Menu items are ready to go! A Beet Crisp sando and a Citrus Ginger cooler (will share more about those later)!

Troll is a ceramic artist originally from California whose biomorphic sculptures explore surface, embodiment, and the tension between attraction and unease. They received a BFA in Ceramics from California State University, Chico and an MFA from Indiana University, and are currently an Artist in Residence at Queen City Clay in Norwood, Ohio.

While ceramic sculpture remains central to their practice, recent work has expanded into utilitarian forms that respond to the surface language and formal concerns of their sculptural objects. Through layered surfaces and organic forms, Troll investigates beauty, discomfort, transformation, and the unknown, creating work that invites introspection while making space for underrepresented narratives and social reflection. by @troll.made.art

In this AIR interview, our favorite studio clown, Ze Treasure Troll (@troll.made.art ) brings us into their crib to demo pinch pots and attachments. Both techniques are essential to their process to create otherworldly forms that beg for interaction.

First, they are the artist of the month at Be Well and will have a reception on May 9th, stay tuned for details!
