Seconds = Lives. That’s the difference.

On this episode of the MedEvac Podcast, the team breaks down exactly why what we do at Troops Direct matters.

When our warfighters are in the air, on the ground, or in the fight—every second counts. And yet, too often, they’re forced to work with one-size-fits-all gear that slows them down.

We do it differently.
Troops Direct provides mission-specific gear tailored to the real-time needs of commanders and medics on the front lines. No guesswork. No red tape. Just fast, targeted solutions that help save lives.

🎯 Because the right tool—at the right time—changes everything.
💥 Hear it from those who know it best.

Our Troops shouldn’t have to fight without the gear they need.
Whether they’re deployed overseas or training stateside, far too many of our warfighters are operating without the mission-critical supplies that keep them alive.

That’s where Troops Direct steps in.
We deliver life-saving equipment, trauma kits, communication gear, and more—directly to units in need. No red tape. No delay. Just the gear they request, when they need it most.

Because if they’re willing to risk it all for us, the least we can do is make sure they’re equipped to succeed—and come home safe.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀. 🇺🇸

A Black Hawk launching an uncrewed aircraft is only part of this demonstration. According to @anduril, an H-60M crew employed an Altius-700 hunter-killer team during Project Convergence Capstone 6, using autonomy to locate a target, share targeting information across the formation, and conduct a strike.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀: The goal is to send sensing and strike capabilities farther forward without requiring the helicopter crew to follow them into the same danger. The Army is also testing how the Black Hawk can connect these systems with forces on the ground—making information-sharing part of the advantage, not just the launch itself.

But an advanced aircraft doesn’t eliminate every equipment gap.

𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁. Troops Direct responds to verified requests from deployed U.S. service members for mission-critical equipment—from tactical medical supplies to protective and communications gear. Requested by the people who need it. Delivered directly. At no cost to them.

Because supporting our troops means more than being impressed by what they can do. It means helping them get what they need.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. 🇺🇸

A mortar system doesn’t operate by itself.

Behind every round is a crew working through a coordinated process—setting the system, preparing ammunition, communicating fire commands, loading, firing, making corrections, and repeating the process as the mission changes.

And all of it has to happen accurately, efficiently, and often under conditions far removed from the controlled environment of a training range.

𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲.

It isn’t one piece of equipment. It’s trained people, communication, logistics, medical capability, sustainment, and countless pieces of gear working together when the mission demands it.

And sometimes, something they need isn’t available through the normal supply chain quickly enough.

That’s where Troops Direct comes in.

When deployed U.S. service members identify urgent equipment needs, 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗽𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻-𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺—at no cost to the service member.

Because readiness isn’t theoretical when you’re the one depending on it.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘃𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗯𝘆 𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲. 🇺🇸

What you’re watching is the kind of precision teamwork required during a helicopter external-lift operation: Marines on the ground working directly beneath a heavy-lift aircraft to connect cargo that can then be transported without the helicopter having to land.

It’s loud. The rotor wash is intense. Visibility and communication can be challenging. And there is very little room for error.

That’s why these operations depend on far more than the aircraft itself. Pilots, aircrew and the helicopter support team on the ground have to function as one system. Marine Corps training emphasizes crew coordination, communication, repeated practice and safety because external lift provides the ability to rapidly move vehicles, equipment and critical supplies where they’re needed.

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗲.

Behind every capability are service members who need the right training and the right equipment available when the mission demands it.

That’s where Troops Direct comes in. When deployed U.S. service members identify urgent equipment needs, we work to rapidly deliver the mission-critical gear they request—directly to them and at no cost to the service member.

𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟯, 𝟭𝟵𝟵𝟯. 𝗠𝗼𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗵𝘂, 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮. 🇺🇸

Thirty-three years ago today, U.S. special operations forces launched what was expected to be a relatively short mission to capture senior members of Mohamed Farrah Aidid’s organization.

Instead, after two Black Hawk helicopters were shot down, the operation became an intense overnight battle and rescue effort through the streets of Mogadishu. Task Force Ranger included elements of the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment–Delta, the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, and other U.S. special operations personnel.

Eighteen American service members were killed and dozens more wounded during the battle.

Behind the history are individual acts of extraordinary courage.

Master Sgt. Gary Gordon and Sgt. 1st Class Randall Shughart repeatedly volunteered to be inserted at the second crash site to protect the helicopter’s survivors when another ground force could not immediately reach them. Both were killed and later received the Medal of Honor.

𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝘄𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁, 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗳𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲.

Their story also reinforces something fundamental to the Troops Direct mission: when Americans are sent into harm’s way, readiness matters. Equipment matters. Medical capability matters. And getting people what they need before the moment they need it matters.

That responsibility continues with today’s deployed service members.

We remember. We honor. And we continue supporting those serving today. 🇺🇸

Operator Weekend returns October 8–11 to @The_Ranch_Texas, bringing veterans, law enforcement, first responders, security professionals, and supporters together for an immersive look inside the environments America’s warfighters train to operate in.

Live fire. CQB. Tactical driving. Night operations. Explosives. Immersive real-world scenarios. And the opportunity to train alongside experienced Special Operations veterans and tactical professionals.

This one-of-a-kind experience gives attendees 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁—and a firsthand understanding of how much training, preparation, and the right equipment matter when the environment becomes unforgiving.

That’s why Troops Direct exists.
When deployed U.S. service members identify urgent equipment needs, , we work to rapidly deliver the mission-critical gear they request—𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿. 🇺🇸

Operator Weekend gives our supporters the opportunity to step into that world—and helps fuel the mission long after the weekend ends.

Imagine being deployed and told the equipment you need to do your job safely is months away.

Sometimes that equipment is as fundamental as a helmet.

That is the gap Troops Direct was created to fill.

When a deployed U.S. service member tells us they need mission-critical equipment, we don’t believe they should have to wait months while the mission continues around them. Troops Direct works to rapidly source and deliver the requested gear directly to warfighters—at zero cost to them.

Because deployments don’t pause while someone waits for equipment.

The threat doesn’t wait.

And neither should we.

They answered the call. When they need us, Troops Direct answers theirs. 🇺🇸

Somewhere in the world tonight, an American service member is far from home because our country asked them to be.

They’ll miss dinners, birthdays, holidays, first steps, and ordinary moments most of us rarely think twice about.

And when the mission begins, they have to depend on the equipment they have with them.

That’s why Troops Direct matters.

When deployed U.S. service members identify lifesaving or mission-critical gear they need, Troops Direct works to rapidly source and deliver it directly to them—at zero cost to the warfighter.

Because supporting our troops should mean more than thanking them after they come home.

It means showing up for them while they’re still out there.

While they’re standing watch.
While they’re carrying the mission.
While their families are waiting for them to return.

They answered the call to serve our country.

When they call for help, we answer too. 🇺🇸

Help us put the right equipment in the right hands when it matters most.

A mission can end. The service behind it doesn’t.

After more than a decade of coalition operations against ISIS, the U.S. military presence in Iraq has been undergoing a major transition—forces consolidating, missions changing, and American service members redeploying as responsibility increasingly shifts to Iraqi forces.

For the men and women who served there, headlines like this represent something much more personal.

Deployments completed. Families waiting at home. Teammates they’ll never forget. And years spent carrying out difficult missions thousands of miles from everything familiar.

But one mission ending does not mean America’s warfighters stop deploying.

Around the world tonight, U.S. service members are still standing watch, training, operating, and preparing for whatever comes next.

That is where Troops Direct remains focused.

When deployed American warfighters identify lifesaving or mission-critical equipment they need, we work to rapidly get it into their hands—at zero cost to them.

Because locations change. Missions evolve. Threats change.

Our commitment to the people carrying them out does not. 🇺🇸

Wherever America sends them, we’ve got their six.
