Toyota Arkana—one of Australia’s toughest and most capable outback tour vehicles.

Built in Western Australia by Arkana Body Builders between the mid-1960s and early 1990s, over 2,300 Arkanas were produced for Australia’s mining and tourism industries. Each one began life as a standard Toyota LandCruiser cab-chassis before undergoing a major transformation.

Today, only a handful remain, making the Arkana a true piece of Australian 4WD history.

The Old “Troopy” Tele Track.
We didn’t really know what to expect as we camped the night at Bramwell station. Nerves were building, ticking of routine car checks and researching all the obstacles we knew of on the old Tele.
We met some new friends who would then join us along the Tele, helping with recoveries and making for good camp fire chats.
A gruelling 4 days as every day would provide us with a new section of road that would require meticulous lines in to each obstacle.
Crystal clear creek side camps, dinner on the fire and recapping every day.
A trip to remember as we made it out alive and relatively unscathed… taken in Old Telegraph Track by @troopysofaustralia
