Yellowtail black cockatoos in flight

They are said to announce the wind and the rain. Their wailing calls carry long distances, when we hear them we know its time to hit the road 💛🪶🖤🌧

South coast love 🤍 NEW YOUTUBE VIDEO IS UP! (Link in bio, hope you enjoy and don’t forget to subscribe 😉)
When everything started to feel familiar we knew we were getting to the ‘end’ of our lap but little did we know how beautiful our home is. There’s nothing like leaving where you grew up, to come back and appreciate the choices both of our families made, wow we are lucky. Although every part of Australia is beautiful in its own way, the south coast will always be special to us. #southcoastnsw by @troopysurfari

Coming home always seems to be harder than leaving.
We have been on the road for 325 days, travelled over 30 thousand kilometres and have seen some truly wild remote places. We loved troopy life, we met some amazing friends and would do it again in an instant.
Driving up the south coast of NSW, places started becoming very familiar. With a new perspective after travelling through some of the best places Australia has to offer, we came to realise something that was never this clear before— the fact that we live and belong to a land that is arguably the most naturally beautiful, wildlife abundant and wave rich regions in the country.
It is bittersweet coming home, we are sad to close this chapter in our lives but we are beyond grateful to have the freedom and opportunity to do this.

Until next time,

Leaving Tasmania and the laid back style of free camping was so sad… but after coming across this place it’s like we never left 🥲🦋✨

Free to use campsites like these are rare these days. Keeping them free means having respect for the places we visit —

🏕 Take your rubbish with you or use the bins
💚 Respect your neighbours

There’s something special about capturing memories using a camera made 30 years before we were born. Some things just don’t need to change…

Exploring the west coast in the Troopy reminds us why we love to have a 4WD, plus we get to eat sushi in some epic spots 🍱🏕
