Got to pitch my R-Rated Rom Com at @ridebackranch PitchFest. One of the best days of my life. No exaggeration. (Spent 70% of the day worried I was going to 💩 myself from nervousness and STILL one of the best days.)

Goodbye Endometriosis, you dusty b*tch.

This is my 5th time going under in the last 2 years in my endeavours to have a baby. Unfortunately, this isn’t a goodbye forever for Endo (it can and does grow back), but rather a slim window of time where I might have the opportunity to see my greatest wish come true - to become a mother. Wish me luck! 🙏🏽❤️💫

Because I didn’t present any of the typical symptoms of Endo (crippling periods and chronic pelvic pain so intense people pass out from it) I did not get diagnosed until my fertility doctor suspected I had “silent” endometriosis 🤫. She biopsied my uterus and did a test on me called ReceptivaDx which came back positive. Even though the only way to truly diagnose Endo is through exploratory surgery, my doctor was able to diagnose me through the test, my medical history (my mother had it), and my infertility. Endometriosis negatively affects the quality of your eggs as well as your ability to get and stay pregnant. No OBGYN I have ever gone to has ever suggested or suspected I had it.

Through surgery, my surgeon discovered I had extensive deep infiltrating Endometriosis as well as an adenomyosis. I have been sick my whole adult life and completely in the dark about it. Here are some other symptoms of Endometriosis outside of the most well-known ones: depression, anxiety, fatigue, brain fog, migraines, constipation, extreme mood swings (my whole personality??), and infertility. If you suspect you might have Endo, you can ask your doctor to perform the ReceptivaDx test on you.
