Brace yourself for a looong post 😆 @din6196

Turning 50 was always going to be special… but I could never have imagined just how special you would make it. ❤️

My husband researched, planned and executed this entire birthday experience beyond anything I could have hoped for.

Now, anyone who knows me knows that handing over the reins is NOT my strong suit. 😂 I’m a planner, a control freak, a little (ok a LOT) demanding, and I usually need to know every detail.
But this time, I trusted him, let go…and simply showed up.

And baby, did you OUTDO yourself. ❤️

You knew Rome was my dream, but then you gave me Barcelona and Venice too—and somehow turned *dolce far niente*, “the sweetness of doing nothing,” into my reality. 🥰💯

For once, I didn't have to plan, organize, research, book, check, double-check or worry about a thing. My only job was to show up, enjoy myself and let you spoil me every step of the way.

And spoiled I WAS. 🥹❤️

But as beautiful as the places were, the greatest gift wasn't Barcelona, Venice or Rome. It was the memories we made together—the laughter, the experiences, the little moments and the feeling of being so completely cared for.

Some memories simply can't be explained in pictures or words. They have to be felt. And these will stay with me forever.

So, to my husband: **thank you.**

Thank you for the hours of research and attention to every detail.

This adventure taught me some beautiful lessons: trust the process, let go and let God… and sometimes, just let hubby take over! ❤️

I also learned to keep looking up, because amidst all the breathtaking beauty, there was always something extraordinary waiting to be discovered. which we often miss when we're too busy looking ahead.

Know that the greatest gift wasn't the destinations. It was YOU. The thought, the effort, the laughter, the little moments and the feeling of being so completely loved and cared for.

Barcelona. Venice. Rome. 50. Loved. Spoiled. Forever grateful 🙏

THANK YOU, my love, for giving me a birthday I couldn't even have dreamed up myself. Here's to a lifetime of holding hands, letting go and always looking up together by @troublem868

26 years ago, you gave me one of the greatest titles I will ever have — Mom. Watching you grow into the intelligent, accomplished and determined young man you are today has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.

I hope you never forget how incredibly proud I am of you. Not only for everything you have already accomplished, but for the man you continue to become. You have so much talent, so much potential, and an entire future waiting for you. Never allow a difficult season, a mistake, a disappointment, or anyone else's opinion to make you question what you are capable of.

I Spent two hours getting ready, announced, “Tonight we’re OUTSIDE!”… then entered power-saving mode eleven minutes into the train ride. 😴🔋

This man took a selfie instead of waking me because apparently it was the first peace and quiet he’d experienced in forever 😂 🤳🏽💀

Enjoy it, sir—I rebooted at the venue and became everybody’s problem. 😂🔥
