I’ve been lucky enough to watch my childhood best friend—my brother in every way that matters—raise his boys and pass down so many of the things we grew up doing together.

There’s something pretty damn cool about seeing your best friend teach his kids the same things we once learned as kids, and watching them take the same interest and passion in what their dad loves. I hope they always know how much it means to him when they tag along, learn new skills, and simply want to be part of it.

And seeing all of us out there in our 8Fans waders, doing something we love, feels like one of those moments where everything comes full circle.

We grew up doing this together. Now he gets to share it with his boys. And honestly, that’s pretty special to watch.

You won't catch my dad aka "Pop" out too much these days. But when you do, you can count on seeing him in his boots and hat that everyone back home knows him for so well, along with one of my signature Trout Monkey T-Shirts because they are "so darn comfortable" and comfort is all this man is looking for these days.
