We've been working together since 2009, but many people actually don't realize we are sisters. It's now something we make sure to bring up soon after meeting us, but it's funny how often it gets missed when your business is mostly repeat clients or referrals from someone who already knows of us. We both love houses and design. And we love different parts of the process. The sum is greater than the parts.

If you're in a conversation with us for longer than 30 seconds the differences and similarities will jump out because there are more than less of both. We've found that the way we both approach a topic has strengthened the end result for us and for clients. More times than we can count, we have been in a conversation with a client and they look at one of us and say, "what's your answer? ...And now what is *your* answer?" as they weigh a decision. It's made for stronger projects, stronger relationships and an added level of quirk that those with siblings can appreciate. #troveinteriors

Fridays deserve a good ol’ “Before and After” sometimes. There is so much good stuff in this kitchen to show off, but the listing photo gives you a peek of how far it’s come. Space was at a premium in this long and narrow kitchen and what used to be a 2’ wide island became a generous workspace and table for a family of 5 and lots of entertaining. We rearranged appliances, stole 14” from the dining room (more on that later) and well, just plain gave the thing some room to exhale… much better. #reallifehappenshere #troveinteriors 📷: @mirandaestes taken in Laurelhurst by @troveinteriors

Arrived safe and sound to our Idaho project. A beautiful limestone mantle that is really going to be the cherry on top for this living room. by @troveinteriors

We end up with the strangest "interior things" on our phones and scrolling past this cute chair situation @jamb_london when we were there is one of the fun ones. Especially in a classic @jaspershowroom textile that never tires. by @troveinteriors

File under "Pantries that Work." These second spaces can range in size -- we've done everything from converted closets, to rooms that are larger than some main kitchens with appliances that reinforce function!

No matter how you do it, it's a place that is more than just shelves and food. It's space that's queued up to support the workflow of your house. by @troveinteriors

@Kitchenandmarket is planning the nicest Mother's Day brunch if you're local. Not only did we design all 5 of the locations (shout out to our beloved Mercer Island location, may she rise again), but it's a concept and founder we love.

Might we suggest the semi-prepared brunch kit and then make them leave you alone! Really, whether it's you leaving the house or making them leave for the ENTIRE day... our favorite thing is being alone in our houses to putter on projects or sit on the couches we never get to sit on (IYKYK)!!

Who is going to be out in their garden this weekend? Not so much in seattle… rain this weekend after a string of sunny weekdays. 😵‍💫 Susie snagged this bit of inspiration while she was visiting @seaisland. So. Pretty. by @troveinteriors

We love this view. The floorplan of this primary suite could not have been more different when we began this remodel with Saad Custom Homes. by @troveinteriors

A small lower level powder room that services an amazing bar and family room we designed in the adjacent room. It's also a great example of how family heirlooms mix in so well when a good path has been set out. Our clients inherited this mirror after the wheels were in motion for this powder and it fit like a glove, taking its place as the hero. #troveinteriors #historicrenovation

It's just a peek, but it's always been about this pairing for us: That beautiful grass in the bathroom combined with what's become an iconic floral in her bedroom. The versatility is on point and a keeper in this sweet girl's room. #troveinteriors #reallifehappenshere by @troveinteriors

No hall closet, no worries! It might not be a place to bury your past (you know exactly what we're talking about with those cavernous closets that belong to no one and everyone...), but it's a place for *just* what you need. And a decorating moment with an all-time favorite paper from @fschumacher. #troveinteriors
