RSVP link in bio! ◽️ Wednesday 10/21, 6:30–7:30 PM ◽️ WATT B1 (Architecture Basement) ◽️ Natural merch giveaway Join us for a fireside chat with Kahlil Lalji, Founder & CEO of Natural, a company building the banking and payments infrastructure for AI agents. Natural has raised over $40M from Forerunner, Human Capital, Abstract, Brex, Mercury, Vercel, Bridge, Notion, and others. Kahlil's path to fintech has been anything but conventional. At 13, he was professionally editing esports videos. At 18, he was leading brand and content for some of the internet's biggest creators. At 21, he signed an artist to Columbia Records. And at 23, he co-founded his first fintech company, backed by YC. In 2025, he started Natural with a 15-page memo outlining his thesis on the future of agentic payments. Within 72 hours of sharing it, he'd raised a $9.8M seed round. Just 193 days after founding the company, he raised a $30M Series A led by Forerunner. We'll talk about: - Building his first startup, navigating its transition, and the lessons that followed - Going from a 15-page memo to over $40M raised in six months - Why AI agents will fundamentally reshape banking, payments, and the movement of money - The importance of brand, taste, and building exceptional teams - Poker, Ironmans, and designing your life - What he'd do differently if he were a student starting today by @troy.labs
