Please join my family in praying for my Mom. There are some of you that know but my Mom has been fighting stage 4 colon cancer. She started chemotherapy by pill 2 months ago which was tolerable but obviously brought some difficulty. 12 days ago she started a different chemotherapy treatment by way of infusion. Since this started she has not been able to retain any solid food. She has been hospitalized with severe GI distress and her stomach has still not bounced back despite all the efforts being taken. She has a City of Hope appointment tomorrow that is something that will be very important to make but right now it’s going to take a lot of prayer and strength to make that appointment. My Mom is the strongest person I know and I know she’s going to keep fighting with her all but prayer is also powerful so please keep praying for strength, healing, and perseverance. God is good always and we trust in his healing. I love you Mom❤️ by @troy_elgersma

From Pats to the Pros 👏 Troy Elgersma recently made his MLS debut and opened up about the journey it took to get there.

From Pateadores Soccer Club to the D1 level, and now the pros… the path was never easy. Overlooked by many and counted out at different stages, he stayed locked in and kept working.

Now he’s earned his MLS debut and later that same week, signed his first MLS contract after grinding his way up through Ventura County FC 💫

Proof that everyone’s journey looks different and trusting your process can take you far. taken in Los Angeles, California by @troy_elgersma

Troy Elgersma has signed a professional contract with the LA Galaxy of Major League Soccer!!!

PROUD is an understatement. The former AU captain is the 15th player in program history to put pen to paper with an MLS club.

We know him!

Just five months after finishing his career at AU, Troy Elgersma made his MLS debut with the LA Galaxy on Saturday night. Troy is the program’s first player to make an appearance in the nation’s top flight since 2007. That’s pretty cool 🤷‍♂️.
