Growing the game I love! ⛳️
Long Beach Golf Hall of Fame

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

⛳️ Hall of Fame! Yesterday was amazing.
It’s a true honor to be inducted into the Long Beach Golf Hall of Fame 2025- especially here in my hometown, where it all began. This is a dream come true.

This moment carries even deeper meaning as I dedicate it to two of the most important people in my life: my mother, who I lost earlier this year, and my mentor, Len Kennett, who recently passed. Their love, belief, and influence are deeply woven into everything I’ve done in golf- and in life. I carry them with me, always.

For me, this game has never just been about the swing- it’s about the people. Whether it’s watching a student break through with a personal best or seeing someone rediscover their love for the game, those moments are what fuel me. I’m proud to grow the future of the game through my junior academy, support both the men’s and ladies’ clubs, and stay active in the Long Beach community that’s given me so much. To every client who puts their trust in me- thank you. Teaching and mentoring through this game has shaped who I am, and I never take that for granted.

Being inducted alongside my longtime friend and former coach, @danadahlquist , makes this moment even more special. It feels full circle. Dana- congrats, my man. It’s well deserved and well earned!

Thank you to the City of Long Beach, my family, friends, past coaches, mentors, fellow golf professionals, @recparkgolf , @longbeachparks , @longbeachcity , and my sponsors & team @cobragolf and @pumagolf for the continued love and support. I’m beyond grateful.

This Hall of Fame moment isn’t the end- it’s a spark. It motivates me to keep going, to keep giving, and to keep growing the game I love.

This is only the beginning. Can't wait for all the amazing things I have planned in the near future....

I’m truly thankful for the journey

#tbt - One of my great accomplishments was going undefeated in 1999 and at the time the only Collegiate team to do that in California. I must say that was an amazing year and one of the funnest golfing years of my life. We were unstoppable! I always pushed our guys to become great on every tournament day. This Championship ring and the banner that hangs on the walls in the gym are something I'm extremely proud of.... 🔑 Dedication, Motivation, Goals, and deep Love for what you do will breed success!

I had my friend legend Mia Hamm come out and meet my man Butch @coup4359 today at his school in Las Vegas while I'm here. Butch added a couple of missing pieces that made a huge difference in her swing. I've been teaching Mia for 2 years and she just loves to keep learning. She loves to grind on her game.

It's been a great few days out here with Butch and I'm always grateful for all the extra knowledge I learn from him.
He's the best...

⛳️ And that’s a wrap on our 2026 Summer Junior Golf Camps!

What an incredible way to finish the summer. These camps are always about so much more than golf. Watching these kids learn, compete, build confidence, make new friendships, and simply have fun together is what makes these weeks so special. Being able to share the game I grew up loving with the next generation never gets old.

We were fortunate to finish our final week with NBA World Champion and UCLA legend @realtracylmurray as our special guest! 🏀🏆 Tracy spent time with our juniors sharing stories from his career and talking about preparation, perseverance, believing in yourself, and what it takes to perform at the highest level. Having someone who has reached that level take the time to inspire our kids was a pretty special way to close out the summer. Also great to see @tianamurray2032 . A natural!

I’m extremely grateful for everyone who helped make these camps possible. Thank you to all of our parents for trusting us with your kids, our amazing volunteers and instructors, the staff at Recreation Park Golf Course, and @cobragolf and @pumagolf for continuing to support our juniors with some incredible gear.

Most importantly, thank you to all of the kids who joined us this summer! I hope you walked away a better golfer, made some new friends, and created a few memories you’ll carry with you for a long time.

Another summer in the books. A lot of golf, a lot of laughs, and some pretty special memories ⛳️

Until next summer!

Man this hurts.... Some people quietly become the foundation of everything you do. Today I lost my right hand man and dear friend of nine years, Alberto.

For nearly a decade, Alberto was by my side. He was always the first one there, setting up my canopies, taking care of everything behind the scenes, and making sure every junior camp was ready to go. My clients and everyone at the course loved him. Alberto did it all! He was an irreplaceable part of my academy and one of the biggest reasons everything ran so smoothly daily. The most loyal, humble, hardworking, and someone I could always count on.

I’m going to miss him more than words can say.

Thank you for everything, my friend. Your kindness, loyalty, and friendship will never be forgotten. And like you would always say when I pulled up "Everything's ready!!" I'm gonna miss that energy and joy.....

Until we meet again, my friend.
Rest in peace, Alberto 🙏🏻 - Troy taken in Troy Grant Golf by @troygrantgolf

⛳️ What a special week! Junior golf has always been one of my greatest passions. Helping young players build confidence, improve their games, and create lifelong memories is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. Growing the game and investing in the next generation is something I’ll always be passionate about.

We were also fortunate to have my good friend- World Series Champion and @dodgers analyst @therealjhair as our special guest this week! Jerry shared his experiences with our campers and spoke about what it takes to achieve your goals, work hard, and dream big. A great message for these young athletes to hear! ⚾️⛳️

I’m incredibly grateful to have grown up in such a great junior golf environment and to have learned from some of the very best. It’s a privilege to now give back and help inspire the next generation.

A huge thank you to all of the parents for your trust, my incredible volunteers, the staff at Recreation Park Golf Course, and to @cobragolf and @pumagolf for providing amazing gear for our juniors!

Onto the next week Aug 10th ⛳️

Such a memorable day yesterday ⛳️

I had the honor of serving as an honorary starter for my mentor, Len Kennett’s 69th Annual Junior Championship at Lakewood Country Club alongside @jorgeabadel and Bob Livingston.
A great event put on by @scgajunior ...

Len always greeted every junior on the first tee dressed in a suit and tie, making every player feel important. That’s why we wore suits yesterday- to honor the tradition he created and the incredible man he was.

Incredible feeling standing at my home course, where I grew up, and following in Len’s footsteps by calling those juniors to the first tee was an honor I’ll never forget!

Thank you Len, for everything you did for junior golf and for all of us. Your legacy will live on forever 🙌🏻

Can’t wait to do it again next year!

A huge thank you to my good friend and fellow golf professional, @danadahlquist , for taking the time to stop by our summer camp this week. The juniors had an incredible time hearing from him, asking questions, and picking up a few tips!
Great memories for everyone 🙌🏻

What I admire most about Dana isn’t just his success, it’s the person he is. He’s always been humble, always willing to give back, and has always believed in growing the game. Whether he’s working with Tour Professionals or junior golfers, he brings the same passion and genuine love for golf.

Thank you again, my friend. I truly appreciate you sharing your time and passion with our juniors.
It made a real impact. 👊🏻⛳️ - TG

Congratulations, @hailey.stoskopf ! 🎓
Next @calpoly

From the first day we started working together to now, it’s been amazing to watch your journey unfold. Seeing you grow as a player, a leader, and a person has made me incredibly proud, and I’m grateful to have shared a small part of that journey with you!

Your accomplishments on the course are incredible:

• Moore League Champion 🏆
• MVP all four years
• Team Captian
• First Team All-League all four years
• Scholarship Athlete all four years
• Helped lead your team to its first-ever CIF Team Championship as a freshman

But what makes me most proud is the person you’ve become. Beyond your success as a player, you’ve always been willing to give back. Whether it’s volunteering at my summer junior golf camps, helping young golfers learn the game, or being a positive role model, you’ve made an impact on so many kids and have helped grow the game of golf.

The trophies and awards are impressive, but your character, work ethic, and willingness to help others are what truly set you apart.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey. I can’t wait to see all the great things ahead for you at @calpoly

Proud of you, Hailey. Congratulations and good luck on your next chapter!
