SUNDAY 10/11 LOCATION CHANGE!!
Heads up, this Sunday’s Truckee Bluegrass Jam will be held at the Tahoe Truckee School of Music at 10038 Meadow Way, Suite E. 6-8:30 pm. Jam curious? The TTSM Jams are a great, low pressure way to meet some folks and get a feel for the jam. Come on down and join the circle!

“Wabash Cannonball” is one of those interesting ones at a jam where it’s necessary for everyone to be on the same page with the timing. The move to the IV chord comes a little early and moves quickly to the V. Then the second half of the progression starts right back up. One of those cases where it’s important for the soloist to clearly lead the band with strong pickup notes to make sure everyone’s with them. Then, at the end of each verse, chorus or break, there’s an extra measure before the next section starts that everyone has to lock in on. We kept it together pretty darn well on this one from last Sunday with Lynn’s confident song leadership. by @truckeejam

Always something surprising at the Truckee Bluegrass Jam! This last Sunday, we had guest singer lead us through a great version of “Montana Cowboy” and few other songs in memory of a good friend just as the sun set. Never know who’s gonna show up at the Truckee Bluegrass Jam! This past Sunday, Brian dropped us a message to let us know he’d be in town and wanted to play some bass, and we’re glad he did. Here he is leading the group through a great version of “Nellie Kane.” Then catch Brian on his Green Mountain Radio show “most Tuesdays” 9am - Noon at wortfm.org (89.9 in Madison, WI).
