A trip I won’t soon forget. 🇹🇹❤️

Last week, I experienced Hosay back home for the very first time as an adult—but what made it truly unforgettable was seeing my family carry on a tradition that has been passed down for generations. Watching my family spin the Red Moon was powerful, emotional, and I was filled with pride.

Being surrounded by family, culture, and history reminded me that our traditions are more than celebrations—they’re a legacy. Can’t wait to let Sariyah have this experience. Once that was over we got to squeeze in a few hours at Maracas on Sunday 🌊. Already looking for flights to go back ✈️

Duke LiveParty Farrel all those years ago when we first met I admired the type of father that you were. As time passed and our lives enter twined you welcomed my tribe in without a question. A quarter of a century 🤯 Honestly, where has the time gone?

What started as a job became so much more. Over the past 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of building relationships with amazing students, families, faculty, and staff. I’ve celebrated milestones, weathered challenges, learned countless lessons, and grown both personally and professionally.

Miami Country Day has been more than a workplace—it has been a community and, in many ways, a second home.

I am grateful for every opportunity, every friendship, every student I’ve met along the way, and every person who has helped shape this journey.

Twenty-five years later, I’m still here, still learning, still serving, and still thankful.

There are some people who come into your life and forever change what family means — Juliette Fulton @daisyssoaps was one of those people.

Grandmother, mother, sister, friend, colleague… but to so many of us, she was simply home. Once Juliette decided you were part of the fold, that was it — you were family. From the cookouts at her house, to the annual TY Park picnics, to weekend candle-making sessions with the girls, she had a way of bringing people together and making everyone feel loved, welcomed, and seen.

She was one of the bravest, strongest, and most resilient women I have ever known. Juliette never allowed obstacles to define her. If she wanted to do something, she did it. She created, she built, she taught, and she never stopped learning — even while courageously fighting cancer. Her strength was unmatched, but so was her warmth.

I am truly blessed to have known her for more than two decades, and I know I am better because of it. Her love, laughter, wisdom, and unwavering spirit will live on in all of us who had the honor of being loved by her.

Thank you for the memories, the laughter, the lessons, and the love.

Happy Birthday to my person of 40 years. From who we were to who we’ve become, we’ve grown through every stage of life together—and that’s something I’ll never take for granted.

You’ve been there through every season—every high, every low, every “we’ll figure it out” moment (KEEP SWIMMING- IYKYK). And somehow, we always do.

I’m so grateful for you, your heart and your loyalty. Life wouldn’t be the same without you in it. You’ve been my constant, my safe place, my laughter, and my strength. You aren’t afraid to call me out and check me when needed (and when not). Through every chapter, you’ve shown up, and that kind of love and support is rare.

I’m so grateful for every memory we’ve made and every one still to come.
